Review: The house of dies drear was one of those bokks that had you on the edge of your seat. When my mom bought it i Thought it was going to be stupid just like all of the other books that they asign me from school. It is definately one of my favorite books ever. It was really cool.

Summary: The best book I have ever read!
Review: I choose this book because my friends and family told me it was a very good book. They also told me that I should read it. So I did. When i started reading this book I couldn't stop. Once you pick this book up you will never put it back down.The book was mainly about a boy, named Thomas, who finds secret passage ways inside the walls and while he explores the passage ways he hears sounds that really scare him. But, the Darrows are trying to scare an old man, Pluto, away from his home, underground, because of the treasure. The House of Dies Drear was used as an Underground Railroad long ago during slavery.My favorite character would be Thomas because he got to find all those passageways and explore them and get scared by sounds. Also, I love to explore new places. My favorite part was when everyone got together and scared the Darrows away from getting the treasure. I recommend this book to everyone from ages 12+.

Review: The House of Dies Drear book is an excellent book because it is full of mysterious things. When I read this book and I have to stop to do something, I dont want to stop because it is so good and it makes me think what is going to happen next.The book is mainly about a boy who finds hidden passages and he hears sounds while he is in the hidden passages. I would encourage others to read it and enjoy the book.

Review: I like this book because it was funny. At the same time, it was a little different from the movie. The movie followed the book almost exactly except for some parts. My favorite part was when they scared the Darrow family when they tried to steal the treasure. I think other kids my age should read it. Give it a chance.

Summary: The greatest and scariest book of slaves
Review: I did like the book ,but I like the movie more because it was scarier .I like the house because it was tall and had hidden tunnels .And I like it because of all the gold and silver they had hidden in a cave so nobody could find it and take it.And my favorite part of the story was when they planed to scare the Darrows because they wanted to steal the treasure that was hidden in the cave for a long time and Mr.Small and his family and the son of Mr.Pluto and a girl dressed up like the slaves that had escape and like Dies Drear so at the end of the story the Darrows din'd get to steal the gold because they were cscared off the property.

Review: This book was good. I read it in my E.S.L class.I liked this book so much. It was about a man who was hiding a treasure. Mr. Pluto had it. Pluto was a man who could scare you so easily. The part of the book I did not like was the short ending. Give it a chance!!!!

Review: This book was good because they talk about slavery and House of Dies Drear and his teasure. I think the movie was better because in the book you can't see what are they are doing and in the movie you can see it. Another thing is that in the book Thomas Small has two twin brothers and in the movie, he only has one brother. The movie and the book were pretty much the same.I reaaly enjoyed it.

Review: The book "The House of Dies Drear" was not that bad. The part I liked best was when Pluto came out of the ground and grabbed Thomas by his legs and chased him through the forest. I knew it was was going to be an exciting book since the very beginning, because they said that the house was haunted. Later we found out it was not. When they found Pluto in his cave we found out that there was a lot of different kinds of treasures in the cave.The last part, I really liked, because it was when they all scared the Darrow family so they could learn their lesson. I read it in my E.S.L. Reading class and I'm glad because it was a good story.
