Summary: A Terribly Sad but Hauntingly Beautiful Story!!!!!!!!
Review: I have to say that Tenderness is not that kind of book that I am used to, and definatly not the kind of book I would usually read, but when I checked it out in my school library and began to read it my whole understanding of literature changed. The beginning sort of set me aback but I learned to flow with Cormier's non-adjective style and ended up likeing it. I first fell in love with Lori Cranston's character, because I realted with her fully, then I decided I hated Eric Poole, but after the story began to unfold I found Eric to be more than just handsome, lethal, and charming, but a most sympathetic character. Lori never failed to win my compassion, and then I began to fall in love with Eric( which frightens me still) ... I think that Tenderness would make an excellent movie and recomend it to all young adults as well as older readers.

Summary: Wow
Review: I'm usually not one to like young adult fictions, but I was blown away with this one. It was very deep and emotional; this is one of the few books that have made me feel crushed and hurt about what had happened. The way the killer slowly falls in love with her, only to lose her in the end was touching and beautiful. Just hopeing RC doesn't come out with anymore low level reading books without much need for a comprehension.

Summary: You have to read this book!!!!
Review: If I could, I would give this book alot more than 5 stars! It was a so awsome book! I loved Robert Cormier's writing technique, but not only that, the story was...well, i can't think of a word that describes it. Unlike most books that are out today, this one lets you experience what the people are going through. Let's you feel what they feel. And once you absorb everything in, the final pages make you think real hard about everything that has happened. When I finished the book the other day, i started to cry. When Eric was arrested for something he didn't even do and when he had his first feeling of saddness, of anything after all that happened. After Lori. Anyways, as you can see, i really liked it alot. And i'm sure you will too! Later!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very good, but the reading level could have higher.
Review: I rated Tenderness as 3 stars because I felt it had a lot of potential that was never expressed, but was generally a good story with a lot of feeling behind it. Most of the characters as easy to identify with. The main character in the story is a girl, Lori, who has ongoing obsessions with somewhat infamous characters such as a rock star and a teenage killer. Tenderness also focuses on the teenage killer, named Eric Poole as his morbid thoughts while in prison, and out of prison. Through these situations this book presents itself with a lot of emotion to to express what ever character is feeling. I would recommend this book to young adults.

Summary: This was a thrilling, intriging, and disturbing novel.
Review: Robert Cormier's novels always grab my attention right from the first page, this novel did not break the trend. This book was very interesting if you enjoy trying to figure out what make psychotic criminals, and troubled adolescents do what they do. A young woman is fixated on a convicted child murder, who is longing for another vicitm. And with this victim the ability to achieve another moment of tenderness.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What is obsession?
Review: Cormier is a master at plumbing the mind of misfits. Eric Poole- what possesses him to kill? Lori is obsessed until she kisses the object of her affection. These two lonely ones are drawn into a web- not only of their making, but caused by the people who raised them too. Tenderness is haunting and eerie and addresses the dark sides of each of us.

Summary: Shocking...made me cry.
Review: I started out the book already knowing that Lori was going to drown (YOUR fault, Amazon, you told me!). My breath quickened as I went on. I started out hating Eric, then I regarded him with contempt, but by the end, I loved him. The drowning was so sudden, I knew it would happen but somehow didn't believe it would... Later, at lunchtime at school, I was thinking about Tenderness and its horrifying ending. I was thinking, why? Why did it have to end this way? Why did Lori have to drown? Why did Eric have to lose? Why couldn't Cormier make a happy ending just this once? Why must it be this way? At that moment I broke down and started sobbing.

Summary: Great! I really loved the book.
Review: Jenny searches for tenderness and fixates on a murderer.

Eric ,a convicted killer, searches for tenderness and finds Jenny. But she looks so farmiliar. You think about the rest.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tenderness: a word with too many meanings, a book too.
Review: At first this book seemed a bit dull, the writting and the slow moving plot. But soon after the young man's killing and chilling narrative voice is heard, the story moves on full blown and quickly, shifting and swift from escape to the meeting, and sleeping in the hotel, and the shopping, with the fanatic female. Beautiful, touching, and Tenderness

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Shockingly GREAT!!!!
Review: Scary. Creepy. Spine-tingling. Eerie. Dark. Morbid. A girl who stalks a serial killer. Don't read this book at night, you'll be in for a killer shock.
