Summary: A book that will twist and turn your imagination...
Review: Wow! This book was wonderful! I've always been a fan of fantasy stories, and this was a truly superb one. Monica Furlong is a very talented author. I absolutely loved reading Juniper, and Wise Child was great. What I liked about it? Well, that would take too long to list everything. But the point is...stop reading this review and read Juniper/Wise Child. You won't regret it!

Summary: Just the thing to hook a young reader into fantasy
Review: Wise Child is--well, it's just good, and a lot of fun. Gives you a lot to think about. It's much better than the Quest for the Magic X or The Evil Dark Lord Minions of Y styles of fantasy--the magic is relatively minor, but described captivatingly and realistically, and the main part of the story takes place within a small town, but a town that feels realer than any of the dozens in most epic fantasies, and the main characters are sufficiently developed. A solid, very enjoyable story.

Summary: I'm 27 and have been reading it yearly since I was a kid.
Review: Mega. I loved this the first time I read it and I love it more and more each additional time I read it. Good information for children who may be growing up in a Wiccan Family. Believable yet magickal.

Summary: A magical read
Review: I first read this book when I was 11, and thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. Now I'm 14, and I remembered the book and read it again, and found it even better than I had remembered. Powerful for pagans and a marvelous read for anyone, I would recommend this to readers of any age, not just 8 to 12. It's a beautiful book with wonderful characters and a meaningful message. I believe it has affected the way I look at the world, which doesn't usually happen with "children's" books. It's the perfect gift for girls slightly too young for The Mists of Avalon (which has some similar ideas behind it). Read. Enjoy. Share.

Review: This is definetly not a book for people 4-8, but more like a book for 8-80. Wonderfull for any age!

Summary: Wise Child is the best book I have ever read!
Review: A book that empowers young girls, "Wise Child" is the best book I have ever read. It honors women and shows us some of our power. We have no t.v. in our home so books are our jewels. Wise Child is my Favorite book; "Juniper," its prequel, is my 12 year old daughter's favorite. We read both books aloud to each other when she was 10. It's great to have women heros who flee not only dragons, but abuse.
