Rating: Summary: I loved this gorgeous book! Review: Well, Ms. L'Engle seems to have done it again! This is one of my all-time favorite mystery stories. Adam Eddington, who you may know from certain Austin books, is going to Portugal to work for Calvin O'Keefe, who you probably know from the time books. At JFK, Adam meets beautiful yet strange, Kali Cutter. He then finds himself in the midst of a horrible mess. Between Kali's crazy wiles and the loving truthfulness of Polly O'Keefe, Adam must decide what side he is on. You'll never guess the ending, so add this amazing mystery to your shelf now!
Rating: Summary: quick, involving read Review: While at times I felt the urge to give Adam a smack, I suppose I'm even more irrational running on three days of no sleep. Actually, I'm just irrational, period. (Hurrah for dumb Americans!) Still, it's very obvious who the "good guys" are.The book has its flaws, but I definitely found it to be interesting and fast-paced, and I did like Adam despite his occasional lapses (which were, for the most part, excusable). Joshua, however, is the character that really stood out to me. Him and Poly, and of course, Macrina. Unfortunately, that just made me horribly depressed at the end. -_- (I knew it was coming, too, thanks to "A Ring of Endless Light." Still depressing.)
Rating: Summary: The Best L'Engle Book I've read Review: WOW! I am left speechless after reading this amazing book. I was enthralled by the complexity of this book! What a wonderful way to spark reader's interests! This book is not just a book--it's a mystery, it's a romance, it's the story of an inner struggle--it's a fabulous book which will be enjoyed by generations to come. Kudos to the outstanding literary genius who wrote this book.
