Review: Juniper is a perfect follow-up novel to Furlong's Wise Child. Readers of her first novel found themselves wondering about Juniper's childhood and how she came to choose the path she follows. The prequel accomplishes all that and more. It contrasts Juniper's initiation into the ways of the Doran with how she introduces Wise Child to them. The prequel also ties up some loose ends from the first novel, for example how do Finbar and Juniper know eachother when they come from to completely different places. In the novel Juniper you will find the answer to this question and many more!

Review: Juniper is one of my favorite books. It reads very fast, especially if you're intrested in acient england. Well writen and well expanded upon. The internal structure is very flowing.

Summary: This was a very good book
Review: Juniper is the only child of King Mark, and Juniper lives a life of luxury. But, she goes into the mountians to study white majic with her godmother, Euny. There, she is tughly raised. When her year long teaching is up, she goes back to her country to find that her aunt(who is a black majic witch) has put a spell on the country, and is trying to kill the queen's soon to be born son. Only Juniper can save the country.

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read!
Review: Juniper is used to her spoiled life as a Princess in her land but she gives it all up to work with Euny, a powerful doran that works her hard and breaks her into Euny's hard solitary life. I think this books is a maigcal tale of survival and sorcery. I reccomend this book to anyone who loves magic. And loves midevil tales.

Summary: Even better then Wise Child!
Review: Juniper tells you what it means to become a Doran. When I finished reading it, I wanted desperatly to be Juniper. It has a great storyline and elaborates where Wise Child left off- after all, we know Wise Child wants to become a Doran, but we don't find out how she becomes one because the book ends at that point. Juniper gives you the dibs on this as well as giving you Juniper's background as Ninnoc. Juniper is my fav, but I think that whichever of the two you read first is the one you like best.

Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: Juniper was a great book. I enjoyed it so much and I can't wait to read wise child. It was touching and I always enjoy magical aventures such as this one. Almsost every part of it was equally good, but of course some I liked better. One of the most well written parts was when she had to kill Borra, as sad as it was it was very well written. I liked the crafty way it ended and unlike most books where they slowly end this one ended abrutly and I can't convince myself I have read the whole book.If you enjoy magical adventures than this is the one for you. Also I am part of a mother/daughter book club. We read a book a month. One of the girls has read both wise child and Juniper and says Juniper is better. Her jugdement on books is one that can be trusted. So it was decided that we would read Juniper as our first monthy book.

Whe Juniper must rescue her cousin from the clutches of an evil sorceress, her aunt, she discovers her true loyalties and makes the choice to be a doran (good witch). One of the most magical pieces of literature available today, Juniper is an excellent book that makes you question reality as you know it.
