One adventure is when Dinnie's ski class goes skiing. Another adventure is when Dinnie's family moves. This adventure story takes place in Switzerland. Dinnie moves to Switzerland with her Aunt Sandy to make room for her sister's baby. Sharon Creech wrote this book to bring out people's imagination. I would rate this book a 10 out of a scale of 1-10.
Rating: Summary: Bloomability Review: I have read 5 of Sharon Creech's books and loved them all. I couldn't say which one was my favorite. Bloomability was just as good as the others if not better. Dinnie gets "kidnapped" and taken to Lugano where her uncle is headmaster of a boarding school. At school Dinnie makes new friends and deals with all kinds of emotions. When I read this book I too felt some of these emotions, fear and sadness. I would definitely recommend it to readers of all ages.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: When Dinnie "the dot" is sent to a swiss boarding school with her aunt and uncle due to financial difficulties, she doesn't feel welcome or loved. Every night, she tries to post "kidnapped" on her window, but finds that writing in any language besides English is hard... She has to learn to cope with her new lifestyle and adapt to the people in it. She ends up dealing with a girl who has paranoid parents, an extroverted boy who has the most introverted parents imaginable, a Japanese boy and a Mexican girl who fall in love, and many others. A truly sweet and touching book.
Rating: Summary: Bloomability's Review Review: (...) I love the book Bloomability. When I read it I felt as if I was growing and changing along with Dinnie. I would love to have the opportunities she had. The word "bloomability" was Keisuke's way of saying opportunity. I think that anyone ten to fourteen should read this book. A younger person could read it, but it might be hard for them to understand the theme. Although the theme is complicated, Bloomability is one of my favorite books.
Rating: Summary: Fantastico! Review: This is one amazing book! Caught in the ups and downs of adolescence, Domenica Sanotlina Doone is "kidnapped" by her aunt and uncle and taken to live in Switzerland. It is there that her world becomes "not so small" as she meets people from a variety of different countries. Faced with unfamiliar surroundings, Domenica is in awe and has many exciting adventures with her new friends from her culturally mixed school. An exciting coming-of-age with a unique twist, Bloomability will surely be a book that you won't be able to put down.
Rating: Summary: This is 'such the best' book Review: Okay, I've just read the other reviews, by 8 -13 year olds, and the sign saying that this is a book for 8-12 year olds, and I feel out of place, cos I'm sixteen and live my life by this book. I first read it last year, already a fan of Sharon Creech's after the brilliant Two Moons and Redbird, and I finished it in an hour, then I read it again, and again, and another four or five times after that. You see, this book has personal meaning to me, because I've been to Lugano, and lived in a house with eighty strangers, who speak different languages and live by different rules to me. I felt homesick and fell in love with the people and the countries. Most importantly I stood at the top of a mountain and realised that I am a dot on this great big world. Bloomabilites is so acurate in it's description that whenever I read it I'm taken back there. I can smell that clean swiss smell, and feel the cool air and hear the sounds that make it so beautifull. I miss that part of switzerland so much, and bloomabilites let's me go back their. This book is just simply amazing and brilliant and avaible to anyone, no matter what country you come from or how old you are, or if you're supposed to be reading shakespeare, but reading this instead (not me - of course :P). Sharon Creech is a genius, once again. [is there any way that I can give this another star?}

Rating: Summary: Bloomability Review: This is the best book I've ever read, and believe me I've read a lot of books. I've read Bloomability like 5 times and it never ever gets old. Ever since I first read it, it made me want to go to that boarding school in Switzerland. That would be so great if everyone were REALLY treated equal. That would never happen at my school. Well anyway, everyone schould read it, because you can learn so much from this book. I don't want to give anything away, but I've been so much nicer to people than I used to and I always think about what would happen after the book. I wish Sharon Creech would make a sequal to it because it is the BEST BOOK EVER!!!!! Sharon Creech has been my favorite author since I was 8 and I'm 13 now and she still is! If I could, I'd give Bloomability a 10!
Rating: Summary: Life at a boarding school Review: Domenica is 13 years old and is suddenly kidnapped by her aunt and uncle and taken to Lugano, Switzerland. Here Domenica meets many other people from all around the world, sullen Lila, enthusiastic Guthrie. The setting for this boarding school sounded beautiful, with mountains and hills surrounding them, with other countries easily within reach for weekend trips. Despite Domenica's initial wariness concerning being so far away from home, she is soon enjoying her life and when the end of the school year comes, finds that she has made many lifetime friends and is sad to leave them behind.
