Rating: Summary: This book is such the best! Review: I loved Bloomability because you can really relate to the wonderful characters. The book really really REALLY goes well to Silverchair's song "Miss You Love" on the CD Neon Ballroom. Listen to it. It really will remind you of the book. I thought that the ending was really sad =( but that's one of the things I liked about it. Read it. You'll think it's "such the best!"
Rating: Summary: Cool Review: This book was really, really good, but at the end something should have happened. Like Dinnie & Guthrie should have gone through some dramatic scene and I was very dissapointed that Belen and Keisuke didn't have a relationship regardless of their parents. And I also couldn't believe that she couldn't decide whether to come back or not. But other than that it was very well written.
Rating: Summary: Boring Ending Review: I liked the book Bloomability by Sharon Creech, but at the end of the book nothing exciting happens. I wish something actually happened and the end. Then there could be a sequal about Dinnie and Guthrie.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Review: I thought this book was riveting. A shy, small flower waiting to bloom, Domenica Santolina Doone, is sent to live with her Aunt Sandy and Uncle Max. "Dinnie" is feeling lonely, that is, until she meets the lovable Guthrie, a friend for life. You begin to fall into Dinnie's place, feeling what she is, and hating the "villans", loving the "good guys", and just plain having fun. The school decides to have a skiing trip that turns into a nightmare; Guthrie disappears, and all of a sudden....The rest is for you to read, and giving away the end wouldn't be fair; you have to read this yourself!
Rating: Summary: it is about a girl with a very dramatic but happy life Review: the book was very dramatic, and in a way happy.I think it can relate to some people because it is so realistic and kind of teaches some lessons about life. i hope the sharon creech writes a continuing story of it....I'd by it in the snap of a finger!

Rating: Summary: I luv it!!! Review: I absolutly loved it! IT was totally awesom, switzerland souned SO beautiful and Dinnie was a ver developed character and even though the dreams kinda confused me, i luved it
Rating: Summary: Good, but little plot Review: Bloomability shows great writing and metaphors, but honestly, the book has very little plot. This is it: A girl-Dinnie-get's taken to Switzerland by her uncle and goes to boarding school. There she meets many people. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all Sharon Creechs truly fantastic books have great plots? There's mystery, something that gets all pieced together at the end, and great adventure and action that keep you on your toes. There's death, romance, and stunning realizations about life. But Bloomability is, well, simply done. The charecter descriptions are excellent, I would recommend it to anyone whos read Walk Two Moons and Chasing Redbird and Absolutly Normal Chaos. But the plot definetly loses the books appeal.
Rating: Summary: "Dinnie the Dot" goes to Switzerland... Review: I have just finished reading Bloomability for a school book report. The description of Switzerland was so awesome that I decided to write my history paper about it! There's just one thing. Although I loved the characters, the book was just to fast of a read for me. I really didn't have to think about anything (so if you're the kind of person who likes that, you'll love this book) and I finished the book in three days! But not because I couldn't put it down. Now back to the story. Domenica Santolina Doone (Dinnie for short) has never lived in one place for more than a year. Her father keeps seeing "new opportunities" and once again the family is whisked across America. Then one day Dinnie is "kidnapped" by her Aunt and Uncle and is taken overseas to an Internaional school in Switzerland. There Dinnie learns Italian, makes friends each with a different character, learns to ski and opens herself up to the world. This is a great book for adolescent girls. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: true to life Review: As a teacher at an international school in Germany, I found Bloomability to be a mirror image of so many of my students. Ms. Creech focuses on a lot of the issues that we deal with every year - she definitely understands the hearts of students who are displaced but changed due to a cross-cultural experience. If you have lived overseas, you will find this to be a truly touching book that you can connect with.
