Summary: this book is a must for any girl that needs to be on cloud 9
Review: I think this book was both moving and inspering . This is one of those books you can read over and over again. It shows how any girl wether she's fat, thin, preety, not so butiful, miss. In, or miss.out can be, and is, a goddess deep down inside. It should be on every girls "must read list".

Summary: read this book! it's my favorite book in the universe
Review: anyone who feels the need to discover their own inner goddess must read this book. (or if you want to read about how someone else found theirs) it's like fairy tales, but for a modern-day damsel who knows how to get herself out of distress. i especially love girl goddess #9, winnie and cubbie, and dragons in manhattan. i loved reading block's totally accurate but also dreamlike descriptions of l.a. and n.y.c. i love the dangerous angels books also, and "i was a teenage fairy" but this is definetely my favorite book and will be forever.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS ROCKER!!!
Review: Girl Goddess #9 is surreal. I love the way it's written, drawing you in until you can't tell fantasy from reality, in a world of palm trees and plastic swimming pools. My fave story was The Canyon.

Summary: Block makes the world a magical place in Girl Goddess #9.
Review: I have read Grrl Goddess more times than i can count. Simply, it is the most wonderful book i've ever read--no, experienced. It has the power to make you smile uncontrollably all day, and get teary eyed over the smallest things. It embodies everything magical and worthwhile in life in general, and the childhood world in particular. And most importantly.... in each character Block creates i can relate to a part of myself. This book is the soundtrack to my hopes and fears and the things i hold dear, and i hope everyone who reads this incredible work appreciates it for what it is--the ultimate record of my heart and soul.

Summary: deep, dark, and usually true to life
Review: Girl goddess is the type of book that reaches deep down into your soul. It makes you think, see, and feel in totally different ways. Although it is dark, the realism of the book really moved me. I felt what those girls felt, cried at the injudice and laughed in spite of myself at the simplicity. In other words, it's a great book and I love it.

Summary: Read this book, you won't be able to put it down!
Review: I was walking through the bookstore one day, and this one just happened to catch my eye. Girl Goddess #9 is almost like a book of fairy tales, but it is told in a modern, funky way. I have never read anything like it, and it just blew me away by being so real and truthful. This is an awesome book, and I absolutely recommend it to everyone!

Summary: this book has changed the way i look at life
Review: i can't even communicate to you how much this book has affected me. it is written like a group of fairytales, seemingly innocent yet so beautiful and thoughtful you ponder them for weeks. the way francesca deals with complex things in an innocent way really makes one think. i'd really reccommend this book to everyone.

Summary: so touching, so real, so magical.
Review: the best book you can ever possibly read. its not trashy, not sappy, not phoney. and its not boring. the most realistic stories, yet told in a magical pixie-punk way. and they're not superficial. they are the whole raw truth of the world and feelings of the humans living in it. i could not put it down. my personal favorite story is blue. it purly touched my soul in a way no other story ever could or will. basically,to sum up my feelings about this book, the most wonderful book of stories in the world, as best i can, is to say that you feel for the characters. you move with the characters you become the characters. This book is pure magic.

Summary: it's a book you can not put down
Review: I thought this was an excelent book. I thought it was a good book for girls my age to read. I am currently fourteen and I can relate to many of the problems the girls had in this book. Girl Goddess #9 is about nine girls who have problems in their life ranging from parental suicide to problems with boyfriends. All the girls learn to handle their problems in mature manners such as talking them out instead of fighting or hitting. This book was also very hard to put down because you are always wondering what is going to happen next. I also liked how the author Francesca Lia Block wrote. She has a very unique style. I like how she seperates her chapters into differents stories of girls. So you meet a new charactor every 20 or so pages. One story about Tuck especially stood out. I liked how the author slowly and gradually moved up to the fact that her dad was a transvestite. She never knew her whole life that the two mothers she was living with, that one was really a man. I highly reccomend this book to any teenage girl.
