Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Aloha from Hawaii!! Review: I think that Clemence McLaren's book was very good. It was educational and exciting. She came and talked to us about her book. We were informed about the process of publishing her book. I enjoyed the descriptions of the war and helen's and cassandra's feelings toward the war and each other. I especially enjoyed the mythology. It was exciting to read about the way of life back then. I liked the fact that Clemence McLaren didn't mention things about the way the Greeks dressed.:)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Cool! Review: This book was the best book I read for a very long time. I really enjoyed the part where the Greeks built a huge horse and hid inside of it. The Trojans said it was from the Greeks as a present. They took the horse in and as soon as it became night the Greeks started to invade the Trojan village. Clemence Mclaren came to our class and talked about this book. She even talked about her new book out called Waiting for Odysseus. She read us some of the book and it was really good. You others who really liked Inside the Walls of Troy, should read this book.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Interesting Review: Dear reader, Our class was assigned to read this book and write a review on it. I personally thought that this book was very interesting and yet it became almost "bed-to-bed." What I mean by that is I think it almost was like she told everything she did that day. She meaning Cassandra. The first part of the book was very interesting. It portrraited Helen as someone who wanted to leave her husband and daughter rather than the Girl who was stolen away from her family as most books do. The auther obiously did a great job of finding usuful information and applying it to her fictional thoughts on how the charecters must have felt. And yet, I think there was too much fact and not enough fiction. But in all, I would like to say BRAVO CLEMENCE!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inside the Walls of Troy Review Review: As I began to read this book I felt as if I was actually in the story watching the life of Helen and Cassandra go by. I began to see the death and the horror of the war in action. I also began to feel the pain that Helen and Cassandra went through when their loved ones soul was capured by the Lord Hades. Mrs. McLaren's book was amazingly realistic in the ways it told of Helen's point of view and Cassandra's point of view. Also I would like to thank Mrs. McLaren for coming over to our school and discussing with us about INSIDE THE WALLS OF TROY, and her other future novels.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: GOOD BOOK Review: In my 7th grade English class, we all read this awesome book. Throughout the book, exiting and interesting things would always pop out and surprise me. The storyline was great and I thouroughly enjoyed it. It's cool how the stories are from the point of view of the women of the Trojan War (Helen and Cassandra). Another interesting aspect of this book was that the author added in things that would be easier for the reader to undersrtand, such as frienships, and how the charachters really felt.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: What I think of the book Review: Overall, I thought the book was really great. When I picked it up and started reading, I could not put the book down. Our class had a chance to talk to Clemence McLaren about the book. She is a great writer, and has good ideas. The story was about a beautiful girl who gets stolen by a man named Paris. Then, all the men of her home town come to avenge her. My favorite part where the hereos of Sparta and Troy fought each other. The main battles of hereos were between Menelaus and Paris, and Hector and Achilles. So I think the story deserves 5 stars.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Harry Potter(J.K. Rowling) v.s. this book(Clemence McLaren) Review: Harry Potter, Or inside the walls of Troy. Which is better? To me Harry Potter is better, but I am not reviewing that book. Inside the walls of Troy, an interesting book, and fun filled with minimal action. This book waas otay, but she should have kept the story to Helen. I didn't like Cassandra's story too much, it was boring. Also, there was a typo in the book. It said there was korn imported from asia minor, but really there wasn't. Some parts of the book were good. And I semi-liked that Theseus part. If she put two sections, she should have made a mans view and a womans view. The cover was kool, and dat illustrator did a good job. I liked the book(a little). They should have described the attire of the peeps more. The girls bak then wore toppless clothes but Clemence did not described that. Ok. Kool.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One Awesome Book! Review: Inside the Walls of Troy is a good book for those who like historical fiction that portrays the story from a woman's point of view. It tells the story from Helen's point of view in the beginning, making her seem like a fairly average girl behind the mask of her beauty. The second half of the book is told through Cassandra's eyes. The story shows that even though Cassandra and Helen are so different, they are very much alike. Both are cursed with a gift, Helen with beauty and Cassandra with foresight, that at times, they wish they didn't have. It tells us that not all gifts are blessed. The story is well written, with descriptive battle scenes and detailed descriptions of the way of life back then. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an adventure into the mystic world of Greek myths and feministic views.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Awesome Book! Review: I thought this was a pretty awesome book, but it was a little too gory for me. I love the fact that she wrote the books from two different perspectives because you know, it kinda leaves you hanging. The only thing I would change would be the part when a spear gets stuck in a warriors chest and he begins to vomit blood...I stayed up for like three nights visualizing it. :)
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: An Intriguing Novel of the Trojan War Review: I'm a 13 year old guy from Honolulu who usually just likes to read things about skating, soccer, movies, and music. But in this case, I thought the book was very exciting and had a lot of twist to it. I really like how they made all the different situations tied together, and made it so it had a lot of for shadowing so you'd have to remember all the little things that happened in the book. I also thought the book had a lot of action to. I kind of see it as a sopoper with a lot of fighting and war. So, if you like intiguing book with lots of action, I recommend you read this book.
