I just want to say that Inside the Walls of Troy was a great book b-cuz it was deep and concentrates on women unlike alotta other books during the trojan war. I liked Cassandra's personality bcuz she seems like a very down to earth person with a pretty awesome atitude. on the other hand, Helen seemed like she was still a bit self-centered with the fact that she used polyxena to get to achilles so they could try to defeat him. I like the part when it described the part about the making of the Trojan horse. It was pretty darn nifty!well, hope to see ya laters! hip to the hop and it dont stop! ~~Z~~
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Katlyn's Review Review: My favorite character in this book was Helen. I really liked her quirky personality. Before I had read the book, I always pictured Helen as this arrogant girl who thought that she was better than anyone else. After reading this book, I began to see her as a person, not a prize to be won. Another reason that I liked her is because she was very childish and funny in her own way. This book gave me a new view on the story. My father used to tell me stories about the beautiful Helen of Troy and from then till now, I thought of the story as a funny story. I mean to a three year old, people hiding in a horse can sound a little bit funny. Now that I read the actually story, I realize how horrible the war really was and what Helen really thought about being so beautiful. Cassandra was also very different in this story. She was known for being a crazy prophet, but here it showed me how she actually was not crazy and was a nice person who had feelings just like anyone else. This story also gave me an idea of what it was like living in the old days. When reading other books on the topic, I thought they made the women in the book a minor part, and all of it was about the men. In this book, it was cool to hear the woman's side of the story. Since the women were not in the fighting, or on the voyaging trips, they had a very different perspective of the

Don't you think it would have been so cool. Well, it would not have exactly been cool, but pretty weird and really scary to actually be fighting or sitting in the Trojan Horse. Most books written, are about the fighting and what it was like to be in the war. Clemence McLaren did the opposite to write her book. Inside the Walls of Troy was about what it was like to be from the women's point of view. I really thought it was interesting and think anyone will enjoy it. C u l8erz! Buh-bye for now! :) :) Bob
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inside The Walls of Troy¿ Review: Sup this book is a fun book because it has the Trojan War from a woman's point of veiw so it seems like a whole new thing. It is very interesting because it has 2 different parts, Cassandra and Helen. Helen incounters many different Greek gods and warriors. Clemence McLaren's book is very different because it is in the women's point of veiw and other authors write their book from a man's point of veiw. Aloha, PUN laserboy
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Bryant's review Review: This book is a great book for all ages. Clemence McLaren writes this book from 2 women's point of view the girl that supposedly STARTED the whole thing the beatliful runaway Helen and the psycho pshychic Cassandra. Clemence McLaren really made this book with alot of description. For example she describes the great but bloody Trojan War like when Hector takes on Achilles. Achilles kills Hector and drags him around by his anchles naked. Clemence McLaren also describes how the Trojan horse gets into Troy and all the greeks come out of it and slit all the mens throats and steal all the women. Bye Bye
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Mollie's Review Review: The thing that I loved about Inside the Walls of Troy, was that it was told from the women's point of view. This is the only book about the Trojan War that I have read, that the women tell. Another thing I liked was how Clemence McLaren portrayed the characters. Like, Helen was always made out to be this bubble-headed, decitful person, who left her husband for a younger guy. And Menelaus was always looked upon, as a sort of jailer, keeping Helen against her will. I really enjoyed reading it.

She not only made the book fun to read but she also put it in the characters point of view. This allows people to get a better picture of what the characters actually were like. That is what makes this book differant from all others. So if anyone out there reads this review that hasn't read the book I highly recomend that you go out and purchase this book.

I was so stoked when I read this book. This booked really captured the view, of womens part in the war. It was the first Greek book that I read which showed Cassandra as a main charctor. I gave the book a 4 star review because I felt the book could haved had more action. Our class had a very enjoyable time reading this book. Clemence McLaren was kind enough to join us in our class, for us to ask her questions about her book.
