Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inside the Walls of Troy review Review: Clemence McLaren came to our school in Hawaii. She talked about the days back in 1200 BC, and how she wrote the book. Since I like Greek myths and stories from around 1200 BC, the story really grabbed my attention at the beginning of the year when we got all our books. I also like books on girls so this book tells what the women back in the Bronze Age did, and how they were treated. I learned that the women back then were not treated as equally as the women in present day. The women didn't even got to choose who they were to marry. I'm glad I don't live back in 1200 BC.

Review: Clemence Mclaren has tastfully blended the veiws of women during the the Trojan war while keeping in mind that this was at a time of men. I loved it! The story line is great. She really took the charecter of Cassandra the whole nine yards. Inside the Walls of Troy shows you that women, even oppressed ones, can endure in times of hardships. Definetly five star. This was a required book, but I would have read it anyway.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Inside the walls of Troy Review: This book by Cleamence McLaren was great. It gave you an idea of how it was like in Greek when the Trojan War was going on. Most books give the stories from the mens points of view, but Cleamence McLaren told the story from a women's point of view. She told it from Cassandra's and Helen's view. I wish she had more of Helen's point of view. I was also fortunate to meet here. When she visited she also gave us some hints from her next book. I look forward to reading your other books.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inside The Walls of Troy Review Review: Inside of The Walls of Troy is appealing to any reader. I am in seventh grade and was required to read Inside the Walls of Troy. Clemence McLaren came to our classroom to talk to us. I could tell she is a very interesting and creative writer. She researched the main facts about the Trojan War, but made up most of the characters personalities. As you are reading, you are also learning about the war, which keeps your eyes glued to the pages. The book is written from two points of view, Cassandra and the beautiful Helen. If you are interested in Greek Gods, Trojan War, or just looking for a good book to read, I would recommend this book to you.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: GREAT BOOK FOR EVERYONE!! Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Inside the Walls of Troy- Review Review: This was a very good book. I would highly recommend it as a free reading book. It is a dual-perspective book, starting with Helen, a young Greek girl, from the period of her kidnapping by Theseus up until the time she ran away from Menelaus with Paris. It then switches to Cassandra's perspective, and continues from there until the end of the Trojan War. Cassandra is a Trojan girl who can supposedly see the upcoming Trojan War. She does not like Helen very much because she predicts that Helen will start the war and kill thousand of brave men. It is a great book for those who want to know what women in the Trojan War was like.
