Summary: Excruciating Pain
Review: Deathwatch is a mysterious book that takes place in the California desert. Ben and Madec are two men that go into the desert to look for bighorn, a kind of sheep. Ben is a college student and is guiding Madec through the desert because he needs money. Madec is a sly businessman. The only thing is that Madec kills more than a bighorn. He kills an innocent prospector, who was searching for gold. Will justice prevail? I liked this book because the author used foreshadowing and it was suspenseful.

Summary: Deathwatch Review
Review: I did not think that Deathwatch was a very good book, because for most of the story all Ben (Main person) did was complain. The beginning and end was good but the middle was just a filler. It would have been a great book if the middle was more exciting. This book had a great beginning and ending. It is a hard book to say if i recommend it or not because it all depends on the type of books you like. I do not like any kind of fiction books.

Summary: Deathwatch-well it was ok...
Review: I choose to read "Deathwatch" for English class. I liked the characters and it had a good exciting plot about a boy surviving a mad man and the desert. But the author just took one little thing and added so many details and streched it out so much that I had to force myself to not skip the pages of detail, but if you don't mind a lot of detail this is a great survivor book. P.S. this book is a lot like Holes, (which was a GREAT book!)

Summary: A Deathwatch Review
Review: I thought this book was really good.It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I thought the plot was something a person could really work with well. It was about this guy named Ben needing money to pay for his next semester of college. He ends up getting hired as a guide to help this businessman from the city find a big horn sheep. While hunting the businessman, named Madec, says he sees something and shoots. It ends up being a person and Ben wants to report this to the authorities, but Madec won't have it. He tries to bribe Ben with extra money, more than the original offer.Ben refuses and Madec then tries to kill Ben in order to keep silence.Ben is now shut out off from civilization and has to fend for himself.

Summary: Death Watch
Review: In need of money to pay for his text books for the nextyear of colege , Ben gets a job as a tour guide who will take people out into the desert to go hunting. The first person he takes hunting is a man named Madec who wants to go hunting for big horn. They went off to go hunting and while they are hunting they see some thing moveing in the bush up ahead. Madec pulls out hisgun (.358 manum) and looks through the scope. He knows the big horn is there but it runs off befor Madec could shoot it. So they go off on their way again and Madec sees some thing up on the montan and shoots at it. when they get out of the truck Madec run ahead to see if it is good one. Ben is trieing to keep up with Madec but he cant, once madec reches where the big horn was killed he started to run back down towred ben and said its not what i was looking for and its horns are chiped. Right then and there Ben knew some thing was not right and ran up to the big horn. To Bens saprise it was no big horn that MAdec killed it was a man an old man. Ben wanted to tell the police but Madec thought differant he thought they sould just leave the man there for the birds to eat. Ben had a feelling that they sould just take the man to the police and tell them what happend. Madec could no longer trust Ben and had to get reed of Ben so he had Ben take all of his clothes off except for his pants and madec would leave him alone in the hot dry desert to die. If you would like to find out if Ben servives this life takeing advencher read the book.

One thing that I liked about this book is when Ben tries to stay alive for as long as he can and all the things he did to try to stay alive. What I did not like was the lack off detail in certain parts. I learnd in this book that you cant trust all people that seem to be really nice people. I would recommend this book for any one at all ages.

Summary: You WILL read this in one sitting
Review: This is a deliciously evil little book. The action begins almost on page one and never stops from there, as the evil Madec stalks Ben to the ends of the desert. . .and beyond! In fact, the battle isn't resolved until the last three pages, and up until that point, I had no idea how Deathwatch was going to end.

Fans of survival fiction will love this one especially, as will fans of action-packed thrillers and of mysteries. Although the book is often considered a Young Adult novel, it can be read and enjoyed by adults as well. In fact, I believe it won the Edgar award for best mystery in 1973. Will young Ben thwart Madec in this thrilling best of strength, endurance, and wits? Pick up Deathwatch and fid out for yourself. You won't put it down until you're finished.

Summary: A book that keeps you on the edge.
Review: Resist, and you die quickly. Comply, and you might live, in jail. Those were Ben's chioces in Deathwatch. In the Nevada desert with no water, food, shelter, or clothes is suicide, if you want to die. But a highway is only about sixty miles away. Do you fight your captor which has a small .22 and a .435 magnum rifle or do run for your life? Ben is followed by Madec, Ben's captor, as he searches for precious water. Deathwatch is an outstanding book. If you like adventure and twists around every corner, you will love Deathwatch. This book is action packed and it catches you in the first few pages. Although Deathwatch is a good book, I found some parts annoying. For example, Ben is hours away from dying from dehydration and he scales a cliff. But all in all, I think this a good book.

Summary: A must read!
Review: Madec was not the kind of man ben would have ordinarily choson for a quiet hunting trip. Ben needed money for another semester at college. So ben took the Job. Madec was a rich buissnes man that wanted to hunt bighorn sheep in the desert. ben finds himself traped in a death defining experience that nearly cost him his life.
