Summary: Beyond Words
Review: I have no idea how John Marsden writes such awesome books. One day in my school libray, I picked up the third book in the series. I flew through it. So, then I read all the books up untill the last three, because the last three weren't in that libray. So I bought the last three from amazon.co.uk. These books are amazing. The books in the series are:(1) Tommorrow, When The War Began (2) The Dead of The Night (3) A Killing Frost (4) Darkness, Be My Friend (5) Burning For Revenge (6) The Night Is For Hunting (7) The Other Side Of Dawn. IF YOU STILL NOT SURE IF YOU SHOULD BUY THE BOOK OR NOT, SMACK YOURSELF AND BUY IT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. THESE BOOKS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: This book is probably one of the best books i've ever read. There is not one part that is boring. The characters are so realistic. You get to know them so well through their time in the woods. I guarentee there is something in this book for anyone no matter what type of books you like. There's some romance, a lot of action and adventure, suspense, mystery, drama. The plot is so well developed and interesting! I've read this book so many times and it never gets boring! I guarentee you will not be disapointed with this incredible book.

Summary: Definitely a Must Read
Review: I've just read that I have to keep this review to a thousand words. I'll do my best. This book grips you like you wouldn't believe. From the very first page you want to know more about Ellie and her friends. And the seven book series lets you do that and more. John Marsden has an amzing gift. He is a 51 year old man who so easily and accurately gets inside the head of this teenage girl. Although Ellie is in a situation where I know I will never find myself, her thoughts and emotions are totally realistic. As an Australian this book scared me witless, you'll know why as soon as you read it. And read it you must. Teenage, young adult or the elderly can read and relate. John Marsden, over the last 15 years, has given teenagers a voice. Adults could probably understand the teens in their community a lot better if they read John Marsden. In this book the stereotype of knife-wielding, music pumping semi-criminals is blown away as the main characters (teens) are seen as Heroes. Tough, brave and intelligent. And who knows, they may even save the day.

Summary: The First in seven of one of the best series of all time
Review: Every year for Christmas, my parents like to buy me several books that I would probably never hear of and never try...they call it broadening my horizons, and a couple of years ago this book was among the pile. I started reading it Christmas day and I refused to leave my room until I finished it. It is one of the most gripping, suspenseful, poignant, intelligent books written for teens that I have ever read. Marsden appears to be one of the few adults who actually understands teenagers, and gives us the credit we deserve. In this book, he tells a tale of 8 typical Australian teens, on a camping trip in the bush, only to come home and find their country has been invaded. Bonding together, they form an accidental guerilla group, who make a life for themselves in the Bush, while risking their lives to take back their country. Though the book is incredibly suspenseful, edge-of-your seat thriller, what Marsden does best is character development. He makes his book at one realistic with incredibly detail, and allows the characters to spend plenty of time ruminating on their actions, morality, their own fear of mortality, and their ability to cope with the death and capture of their friends and loved ones. Finally, here is a book, told through the eyes of Ellie, and thoughtful, down-to-earth protagonist, who allows us to see that teens are much more adult then many give them credit for. A must read.

Summary: Amazingly AWESOME!
Review: This book is VERY good. In the beginning, I didn't think that I would like it, and usually I just LOVE books. But once I had a chance to go further into it, I just COULDN'T put it down! It's really amazing. You have to read this book. Around the middle, I was really excited about the way things lead to another. In your imagination, you can only guess what's going to happen next, and it's never really what you thought it was going to be.

Summary: Tomorrow, When the War Began
Review: I absolutly adored this series of books, and this book in particular. The first of a series of seven, this book is a perfect gift for any age, 13-99. This book is about a brave teenager who, with the help of her friends, changes the outcome of a nation. John Marsden shows high respect for teens and provides creative solutions for seemingly impossible situations. If you liked Ella Enchanted, The Golden Compass, or Dealing With Dragons, you will love this book!
