Rating: Summary: This book is VERY good! Review: I think that the realism that John Marsden uses is great. It is as if he is a teenager when he writes!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely fantastic, a really good read! Review: I have read the first 5 books in the 'Tomorrow, when the war began' series and I do believe the first book is the best. The way Marsden portrays the characters, the scenes, the emotion, I was unable to put the book down. I'm looking forward to Marsden's 6th book coming out in Australia in October. John Marsden is a trully wonderful Australian writer!
Rating: Summary: You'll love it! Review: I loved it !!!! I've read all five books, and I'm looking forward to the sixth one coming out in October 98, 'The Night Is For Hunting'. And also the final sequal to tomorrow when the war began next year in 1999. I recommend this book to anyone both young and old.
Rating: Summary: Awsome Review: This is the most amasing book I have ever read, I actually went back and read it twice. I usually don't like long books, I just lose interest but this book was amassing!!!!!!! I loved it. Thank You John Marsden.
Rating: Summary: BRILLIANT!! Review: I have read this book 3 times now and it gets better every time! I have also read the follow up books to this and they are just as good, making the reader feel like he/she is in amongst the story. I recommend this book to ANYONE!
Rating: Summary: My review is to emphasize my feelings about the book. Review: In my opinion, Tommorrow, When the War Began is hands-down the best book I have ever read. It has just the right mix of action and suspense that most authors just can't seem to get right. I think that this is one of those few books that take you into the story and make you believe that what you're reading is actually taking place in the real world. Whether you like it or not, this book will possess you with an iron grip until the last word has been read.
Rating: Summary: A totally amazing book! Review: This is easily the best book I have ever read. It totally grips you from start to finish. This is a really amazing story about Ellie and her friends and their fight against the war invading their country and their lives. I couldn't put this book (or the others)down until I had read them from cover to cover. John Marsden is a brilliant author and his writing is amazing. I strongly recomend anybody who has read this to read the sequels: "The Dead of the Night", "The Third Day the Frost" and "Darkness Be My friend". Does anybody no when the fifth one ("Burning For Revenge")is coming out?
Rating: Summary: You'll always be on the edge of your seat... Review: no matter how many times you have read the book. This is one of the most brilliant pieces of young adult literature ever published. The story is captivating, set in the current time in a small country town in rural Australia. The story of eight teenagers grips your heart and won't let go until the last page, and then you are hanging out for the sequel. The lives of these young adults forced to adapt to a different way of life, is written so fluently that it feels almost as if you were one of them. A timeless story which will never lose it's touch on the people who have read it and those who are reading it. John Marsden is my favourite author, and the 'Tomorrow' series are my favouriet books. I even have two of them autographed!! His use of language to make a character 'speak' is amazing, more so is his ability to write from the point of view of a teenage girl fighting to survive each day of a war over Australia.
Rating: Summary: A great book for everyone!! Review: This is a fantastic book for everyone, there is excitment and thriller! Tommorrow When The War Began Is Really Great!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I read this book and the other ones in the series in 1 day each. Once you get started you just can't put them down. I would recomend them to any one looking for an excellent read. 10/10.
