Rating: Summary: tex Review: I give this book 5 stars. Its a really good book. The book isnt really a book for kids it is more for older teenagers.I liked this book because the writer didnt feel afraid to use drugs or leave out fights he actually wrote about this character like he was real.He made the main character do things a teenager actually would.i would recomend this book to my friends and to my teachers.
Rating: Summary: Tex, read by a middle school student. Review: I read the story Tex by S.E. Hinton while I was in the seventh grade and I thought that it was a very good book. I liked this book because it was easy to relate to. It was about a boy who has a hard life because his mom died when he was little. His brother goes through some tests because he is ill. Tex feels scared and confused. His world begins to turn around when he has a crush on his best friend's little sister. Near the end of the story the struggles seem to fade away and Tex becomes more intact with life. He finds the strength to carry on.
Rating: Summary: My View of Tex Review: I read the story Tex while I was in the seventh grade. I thought that it was a great book and I thought that because it showed Tex`s inner strengths. It also showed how Tex delt with the struggles of life as a teen, losing his mother, not really having a father and losing his beloved horse who he spent hours with every day. I felt that Tex really related to me and the everyday struggles I go through. One of my good friends had read the book in the past and told me that it was a good book so I decided to read it. I had to push myself through the first couple of chapters but once I got into it i really enjoyed it! I would encourage everyone to read this book.
Rating: Summary: It's a very good book. Review: I really like this book. Tex has a lot to overcome. He has to go threw a lot because of his older brother. After a few events take place he finds out why his brother is always acting the way that he dose. If you like books about teen age kids like The Outsiders then you'll love this book.
Rating: Summary: Tex is a great and exciting book. Review: I really liked how S.E. Hinton wrote this book. It really shows how growing up in the teenage life. It is a great book. I recommend many teenage boys to read this. The only bad side of this book was the romance part. All around it was great.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as S.E. Hinton's other books Review: I really love The Outsiders, That was Then, This is Now, and Rumble Fish, and this book didn't live up to the novelty of S.E. Hinton's other novels. It was a wonderful book, and by any other author it would have been amazing, but it didn't compare to her other books. But it was really good and I definently recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A story about growing up Review: I think "Tex" is an extremely good book. S.E.Hinton brings you into the mind of a fifteen year old who is going through many changes as an adolescent. He faces problems with his brother, his best friend, and the girl he loves. The story brings Tex to a life changing truth about his father. Tex's reactions, movements, and dialogue are realistic. S.E.Hinton really helps you to know and understand what it is like to be Tex. She creates Tex as a teenager so well. Her writing is interesting . The book keeps you interested from the beginning to the end. Her writing allows you to relate or somehow feel for Tex even though you may have nothing in common with him. She teaches you small lessons in life when making the transition from a kid to a teenager to an adult. Although I loved the book, I was a bit disappointed that this book does not differ much from the rest of her work. Her work is repetitive. She seems to use the same themes over and over again in her stories. Nevertheless, I still recommend that people read this book.

Rating: Summary: It's a very good book. Review: I think that the story is very good. Tex has a lot stuff to overcome. Tex has an older brother that bosses him around and he finally finds out why he always acts more like a father than his real one. I liked the story a lot it was pretty easy to read but it's a story we all should read. I would read this book if you like books like The Outsiders.
Rating: Summary: To Read Tex or not to Read Tex? That is the Question. Review: I think that this book told the story of a young man with everyday problems. I think that the plot was well thought out. The setting was remarkable. The life of an everyday person is portrayed in this book with great elegance. Most of all I like the suspense of finding out what will come next. My opinion about this book is that once I started to read it I could not put it down. The first time I read this book it took me a couple of hours to finish. I think the book is so good it will fulfill that need to read about everyday life. I recommend this book to readers of all ages. I think that mostly young people will like this book because it is a book about teenage life.
