Summary: Great Book!
Review: I loved this book! I am historical fiction nut. This book really got me interested in the life of the Tudor's. I recommend this for anyone ages 12 and up. If you liked this one read "Beware Princess Elizabeth" also.

Summary: Assigned for school, but great anyway
Review: I had to read this book over this summer for school, and it was one of the best schoolbooks I've ever read. Mary is Princess, when her father is bewitched by Anne Boleyn. She is stripped of everything and is later brought back to be a servant. It's really good and I reccommend it.

Summary: Very Great Book about Mary Tudor
Review: When I read this I thought it was good. Mary Tudor, Princess of Wales, tells about how it is great to be a daughter. She gets attention, love, affection, anything a girl would want from her father. But that changed: FOREVER. She also tells about Anne Boylen, the witch. They say Anne has a devil's mark and a sixth finger. Then, poor Mary is exiled, hated by her father, considered a very bad person, and always seperated from her mother. Then her title is taken away when Elisabeth is born. So, now Mary Tudor, Princess of Wales, is just plain Mary.

Mary is angered and sometimes in the dungon. She is now a servant to Elisabeth, Princess of Wales, and has to take care of the infant Princess. Mary also imagines being taken away to the dreaded Tower of London to be executed, just like Anne Boylen. As she grows up, it gets WORSE. It tells about how she becomes Queen Mary of Wales and that she locks Elisabeth in the Tower of London. Then here is when she is called BLOODY MARY.

I think she went MAD. She killed hundreds of Prostents just because of their faith and wanted the Christian faith to move on. She maybe didn't know she had a nickname. Thank god she had a very short reign. But, a reign of terror and persucution. I believe she reigned for only 5 years, i'm not that sure.

I recomend this book to people who are interested in Medevil England or Mary the first. Also a good book for the child years of Bloody Mary. But, if you are looking for a softer Queen of England, try Elisabeth the first.

Summary: A tudor monarch fit for liturature
Review: It was so good I red it twice! However I could not feel sorry for Mary in any way because when I learnt she was responsible for the death of thousands of inocent people I could not warm up to her. Don't let this discourage you, It is a wounderful book. It will bring you into the world of tudor england and leave you hunting for more books on the subject!

Summary: a great book
Review: This book is the best! you read in history books that mary is some cranky old murderer but, i mean, with a childhood that rough, what could you expect? i also have elizabeth's "diary" and to read them both is awesome. to read the same story from two different points of view is fascinating and makes reading these books even more enjoyable.

Summary: Mary
Review: This is the best book if you like history. The only thing is i always thought that Anne Boylyn was kind though, andin this book it shows her evil (well throught the eyes of Mary i guess she was evil) Anyways this a wonderful book i recomend this book to anyone intersted in history!

Summary: The perfect way for kids to learn about history
Review: Carolyn Meyer weaves into an exciting story the young adult life of Mary Tudor. Meyer's story sets up the legends about Mary, her piety and her disdain of her sister, Elizabeth. The reader also learns about her father Henry VIII and his many wives.

I find this book compelling not only because it is a riveting story, but because it sneaks historical facts into the story in such a way that you don't realize you are LEARNING HISTORY! After finishing this book I decided to read The children of Henry VIII by Alison Weir and find that it collaborates Meyer's story. It seems to me that Meyer has not taken liberties with her novelization, as many authors do.

I think this kind of book would be an excellent compliment to a school curriculum!

Summary: Mary,Bloody Mary
Review: I absouly love this book! I think it expresses mary as she saw her self and not how every body else saw her as a horrible queen. I have read other book that are in the perspective of Elizabeth( Her half sister)and it made Mary sound horrible. I have alway thought, after I read this book that Mary always was evil, but now that I have seen what things that she has been through I think that the evil was caused by her father.I would deffently recomnd this book!

Summary: You are about to find out that history is NOT boring!
Review: This is a book in the point of view of Mary, Queen Of Scotts as a child and young woman. I once thought history was boring, but this book changed my mind. History is amazing! This book is dramatic, emotional, phenominal... it's amazing how bloody everybody was back then. I learned so much. This book makes you understand how it would be to be daughter of King Henry the 8th, one of the most powerful men in the world, and then be banished. Your mother is thrown away like an old, broken gameboy and a new evil lady takes over who has 11 fingers and a nasty birthmark on her neck. She is bewitching your father so he will never be the amazing man he once was. You fear for your life, for poison to be in your drink, for an accusation of an kind, to be in the Tower of London. This wretched lady has ruined your life, and possibly your future. But I guess Mary never heard of forgive and forget.... anyway, this book rox! Get it today! Read it by tomorrow! Write a review the day after!
