Summary: Mary, Bloody Mary
Review: Reviewer: A 12-year old reader from NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book was amazing story. Mary Tudors was Princess of Wales, and would one day be queen. But that world came crashing down on Mary when her Father King Henry VIII began to take interest in Anne Bolyen. Her father wanted a son, to be heir to the throne. He didn't think that a female could rule a country. Her mother could have children anymore and failed to have a son when she could. Mary's father wanted a divorce, so that he could marry Anne. But Mary's mother wouldn't do such a thing; because if she left the name a queen behind her daughter Mary would never have the thrown. But the king got secretly married to Anne. Then Anne was going to have a child that was said to be a boy. When the baby was born it was a girl. Elizabeth. Mary's life was changed. As her father once did to her leading her around and showing her off. He now did it to Elizabeth. He acted as though Mary wasn't his daughter let alone existed. Mary's title as Princess of Wales now belonged to her dear half sister. Everything she once own belonged to was now Elizabeth. Mary had to take care of her. That wonderful day came when Anne Bolyen was to be beheaded. For adultery. It was a confusing time for Mary she didn't know whither to be sad or happy. Now she may have a chance at the throne. Her father remarried and had a son, Edward. When her father dies. Her sadness is lifted, in her father's will; she is to be queen after her brother Edward dies or hands over his title. Then Elizabeth with is queen after Mary. I loved this book. It was change from want other books call Mary as a evil half sister, well in books written about Elizabeth. If I could give this book more than a five I would.

Summary: A lot better than I thought
Review: I usually don't like Mary Tudor because of what she did as queen. After I read this though, I felt bad for her. This focuses more on her teenage years. She had such a hard life! From her point of view, I can totally see why she disliked Ann Boylen, and Elizabeth. Because of them (mainly Ann)she lost her title as princess, couldn't see her mother for over 5 years, and had to stand by and watch as innocent people were murdered. The people she most cared about were either being executed, or she was not allowed to see them. Her father, King Henry, who she used to admire, now has turned totally against her. I really enjoyed reading this book and also recemend "Beware, Princess Elizabeth" and "Doomed Queen Ann."

Summary: A book to Remember
Review: This book is amazing! Carolyn Meyer's style of writing makes reading easier, and i could always picture what was happening in the olden days. This book was reeeeeeeeeeeeeelly amazing as i said before. It tells us of what a witch Anne Boylyn was. I read 'Beware Princess Elizabeth' first, and i thought Mary was the witch!! This book almost actually beat Harry Potter! I recommend you to read it, but don't stay up too late!

P.S. For all those who was thinking of reading 'Beware Princess Elizabeth', first, read 'Mary Bloody Mary' first, it will make more sense.

Summary: Mary, Bloody, Mary: A young Royals Book By Carolyn Meyer
Review: This book was a very exciting piece of literature. Mary endures so much pain during this story and survives. Meyer had a way about connecting the feelings of reader with the experiences of the character. The author did a great job with keeping the story interesting and busy. I was so tuned in to the book I didn't put it down until I was finished. The story told the life of The princess Mary of Whales. She had a the childhood fantasy life until she reached 10 years old. Then her world took a devastating changed and she was left with out love of her parents, isolated to a castle ,and stripped of her title. She wasn't allowed to see her mother or even her from her. Her father had gone crazy and remarried a women she was conviced was a witch. After all that she was turned into a slave for her new step mom and her half sister in her own home. Find out how she made it with her head attached to her neck!

This book by Carolyn Meyer is about a young princess named Mary who was the daughter of King Henry VIII. She lived a luxurious life until Henry VIII started to like a believed witch called Anne Boleyn. If King Henry VIII was to marry Anne and divorce Queen Catherine, Mary would become a bastard and declared unfit for the throne. Henry VIII married Anne and had a child. Since Anne was expecting a boy, she was bragging about how she would give birth to the next heir of the throne. Unfortunately, she gave birth to a daughter, and King Henry VIII deserted her a later on. He married again, but this time to Jane Seymour. Finally, she gave him a son who ruled England after Henry VIII's death. Mary ruled after Edawrd, and Elizabeth succeeded Mary.
I enjoyed this book because there was a good plot line to it, and the grammar was pretty good. "Ah, Mary, my pearl, my prize!" This quote from the book was unusual beacuse it did not make sense. King Henry VIII was determined to divorce Queen Catherine and make Mary a bastard. Why would she still be precious to her?
The book's plot line was great. The story was about the life of Mary Tudor and how she was treated. It described the poor parts of her life like when she was a bastard and ignored by the king. "The king is unpredicatable."
My favorite part of the book was when Mary was around Elizabeth. Although Mary hated Elizabeth's mother, Mary nad Elizabeth got along quite well. They would play with each other and share things. Nevertheless Mary was still considered a servant to Elizabeth. This part of good because it was well written and interesting. It changed the mood of the story aat that time.

Summary: Great History for Kids
Review: I myself am no longer a kid, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. "Mary, Bloody Mary" is very well-written. It may be a novel for young adults, with everything age-appropriate, but it is still a very intelligent read.

Mary Tudor is portrayed here sympathetically, but she is also kept humanly real, complete with flaws, which makes her all the more likeable.

I recommend this book not only to kids wanting to have a better grasp of history, but to lovers of historical fiction as well, granted you understand from the start this is a lighter read than most historical titles as it is geared more towards younger readers.

Review: I thought this book will be a very good one, I had red all the great comments about it but I found this book sometime kind of boring and hard to read, they using a lot of Old big english words... I could not believed how Mary was so cruely treat and she was the first born of King Henri VIII.It's a good book if you don't know much about Mary Tudor but if you know about her and read previous good books of her before don't buy this book you won't learn much about her and you will find it very boring and a waste of time!
