Rating: Summary: Time for a celebration Review: I'm so pleased to find The Forgotten Beasts of Eld is back inprint. Now new readers can share the pleasure of reading thisexcellent fantasy. I first read this as a college student back in the mid-70's when it was first written. I've followed the works of Patricia McKillip ever since then. I bought the book the same day as I bought Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn. What a rare find, two lyrical, enchanting novels with vivid characters, both discovered together. Sadly, I've found that only a few fantasy novels have lived up to the standards set for me that day.
Rating: Summary: GRAET! Review: I read a chapter of this book and I could not stop reading it! The book is full of sadness and happiness forgiveness and love.I think 10 is a good age to read ths book since thats how old I am. I was boared of waiting for Harry Potter IV I tried this book and loved it!
Rating: Summary: Umm....okay. Review: The Forgotten Beasts of Eld is about Sybel who lives all alone except with the company of her creatures which she has called. Until Coren brings her Tamlorn. So she raises Tamlorn, and loves him, but then Coren comes back and wants Tamlorn back. Then Sybel thinks she loves Coren, and then she uses Coren.....I never liked Sybel. Coren was too good for her, and she just tricked him, and then when she finally decided she wanted him, he forgave her. This book was depressing for me to read. It did end on a happy note, but it isn't good enough for me to read it again.
Rating: Summary: Just a Beautiful Fantasy Review: The plot is almost secondary in this novel, though there's nothing wrong with the plot. McKillip's descriptions of the animals are the most captivating aspect. Another of her works that I recommend to everyone I know. Her characters are fully developed with understandable motivation and logical actions. I still dream about those animals.
Rating: Summary: Wow........ Review: I must admit, I am new to these types of books. And to tellyou the truth, I only read this book because a friend told me to readit, and i only did because i was bored of waiting for harry Potter #4. This book, was the GREATEST book I have read in a long time, it held my attention from the first word to the last word. It was written beautifly and detailed. The Characters were 3 dimensional, and you usually don't see that in many books. The characters were expertly made. The plot was intoxicating. I recomend this book to all of the people that are like me, Read this book! You'll love it!

I am new to this type of book, (i heard about this book while waiting for Harry Potter#4). This book was amazing and detailed perfectly. The characters kept you wondering what they'd do next, especially The White Lady. This book is full of amazing wild creatures, wizards, and knights. I recomend this book to anyone who likes a good book
Rating: Summary: Very well written Review: A wonderful book. Full of as much magic and love as the woman who showed it to me. A good book to curl up with on those cold college nights when your roomate is blasting annoying music. Or pretty much any time, really.
Rating: Summary: A rich fantasy telling. Review: I really enjoyed The Forgotten Beasts of Eld. Sybel was a very interesting character, and her gradual claim of emotion kept me reading. The history of Eld mountain and the mystical beasts Sybel kept there are very detailed and beautiful. I suggest this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy.
