Rating: Summary: The Realms of the Gods: Much Better than Harry Potter Review: So, your want to know what the official book worm, the all-time readaholic, the One-Who-Has-Been-Seen-Reading-While-Walking-From-Class-To-Class, the One-Who-Reads-While-Walking-And-Has-Finally-Learned-How-Not-To-Hit-Telephone-Poles thinks of "The Realms of the Gods"? Well, I would say this: Give me something better and I will die of shock! Give me something equal, you'll be giving "In the Hand of the Goddess", which is the other Best Book in the World. Nothing is better. The plot: The stunning conclusion to the Immortals Series, "The Realms of the Gods" takes place in, where else, the Realms of the Gods. Veralidaine Sarrasri (a.k.a. Daine) and her teacher Numair Salmalin find themselves transported there where they meet Daine's parents. Still, despite how peaceful it is there, the two feel they must return home to Tortall to assist their country in the wars ravaging the world. But the problem is now...How do they get back?
Rating: Summary: Good... Review: This was an excellent book. This is a recommend, as you HAVE to know what happens at the end of the seris!
Rating: Summary: you were doing so good.... Review: This series started off wonderful. The plots were good and there was very litte R rated stuff. Then, in the middle of this book it explodes in your face. Sure you can tell that Daine and Numair like each other but you would think that a highly educated 30 year old man and a 16 year old could fall in love without having to talk about sex (they even italicized it).Tamora Pierce sets a bad example to teenagers. Every series the man gets older and th girl looses her virginity earlier. Please stop the insanity! Read the books(they're pretty good)but skip over the R rated stuff if yore under thirteen.
Rating: Summary: Great book with a bad twist Review: The entire series was wonderful! But then, when this book came along I had high hopes. The plot was good, but Tamora has a habbit of making romances, and this one was looking like there was going to be none of that. But around halfway through the book Daine and Numair get together. I am not really into the romance stuff. However, the entire series was still great and I'd give the other books 5 STAR! However, I would recomend the Lioness series alot more Still it is a great book, and a good addition for your bookself
Rating: Summary: This is one good book Review: I loved this book so much, I sleep with it under my pillow. I couldn't put it down to the point where I walked into a wall while I was TRYING to read it. I started reading the Song of the Lioness quaret in the hospital when I was 9. Little brother got me in the ribs with a golf club... long story. Anyway, it was a little bit too heavy material for a 9-year-old, but I was instantly hooked, and when I found the Immortals, I was extatic. Man I loved those books. I finished the Emperor Mage book, and read the sneak preveiw on the Realms of the Gods, and was counting the days until it came out. When I got my hands on it in the school library, I read through it like lighting to that part when they kissed. Sigh. I read that part so many times that it's falling apart. MS. PIERCE, PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER BOOK WITH DAINE AND NUMAIR IN IT! Ahem... That is all. Love from me ^_^
Rating: Summary: Gimmie more! Gimmie more! Gimmie more! Review: I LOVED THAT BOOK! I thought that it was the best book in the whole series, and I was depressed to see it end. (Really. I went through a whole bag of chips getting over it!) It was about time Numair and Daine got together. I sort of saw it comming, but it's amazing how great wizards and scholars (NUMAIR! ) can't see what's in front of their noses untill it knocks them one in the face. Or untill they almost loose that person. I liked the dragons, too. They're just how I think dragons are: almost human, but a whole lot smarter. There was a lot of blood and guts in some parts, and the descriptions of Uusao made my skin crawl. And you get to meet Daines mom and dad, who you only hear about throught the rest of the series. All in all, that book was brilliant. ^_^
Rating: Summary: Realms of the Gods is AMAZING! Review: I am an avid reader, (i'm almost 14), and i think that Tamora Pierces books are some of the best i've ever read. I especially enjoyed IN the Realms of the Gods. The main character, Daine, has to deal with a whole new set of descisions and problems, which gives this book a different feel to it. As Daine deals with issues over love, I think that this book would be more appropriate for older readers. All in all though, this book is an extremely satisfying conclusion to the Immortals Quartet.
Rating: Summary: A Bookworm's Pick Review: This fourth and final book in the Immortals Quartet by Tamora Pierce is as thrilling and spellbinding as the previous three in this quartet. Tamora Pierce is a descriptive and fluent author, who spins tales that seem to be magically alive. In this book, Veralidaine Sarrasri learns quite a bit about herself and the invaded worlds around her. Daine, a teenager with Wildmagic, can shape-shift to any animal, and can talk to all animals. Healing the wild creaters of the human realm is also a skill she has mastered. With her teacher, Numair, Daine is saved from skinners, (one of the immortals that have been invading Tortall for several years in the rule of King Jonathan the Third and Queen Thayet) and are pulled into the Realms of the Gods by Daine's mother, the Green Goddess. Daine and Numair travel to find a way to journey back into their own realm. Numair and Daine overcome many dangers in the realm filled with gods and immoratls, and learn much about themselves and eachother. When the duo learn that the Goddess of Chaos's plan to distory the peace in the Realms of the Gods is somehow linked with the distruction of the immortals in Tortal, they know it is up to them to save Tortal, and make it home in time for dinner. In this epic novel the conclusion of the Immortals Quartet draws the books to a close. But be sure to read the rest of Tamora Pierce's novels, which include the Protector of the Small Quartet, The Song of the Lioness Quartet, The Circle of Magic Quartet, and The Circle Opens Quartet. They're really worth it!
Rating: Summary: Realm of the Gods Review: This went over the top in a confusing and disjointed way. I felt like Tamora had just been to see "Alien" or some such and said, "Cool, I'll throw some of that in my book." There were all sorts of amazing and horrible things that were about to consume the world, and then they just went away with a little godly interference or the right spell that someone happened to know. It seemed that Tamora was trying to get the visuals as fantastic as possible without worrying too much about weaving a good, tight story. The first three books were worth reading, but this was a let down. I felt the Alanna series was much better overall.
Rating: Summary: BEST BOOK EVER! Review: Whew! How can you NOT adore this book? And I mean, if you couldn't tell in Emperor Mage that Numair and Daine wre gonna get togerther- come on! I saw it, it was like red lights flashing. IT'S ABOUT AS INCONSPICIOUS AS THIS! I had to grab this book from my library when I finished Emperor Mage, and speed read till I found where they first kissed *sigh*. Better than Alanna! Get real all you one star raters!
