Rating: Summary: Awesome Book! Review: Oh my god! (or is that goddess?) This was such a good book. I got it and I just couldn't put it down! I loved the fact that there was some romance, and Tamora Pierce explained the battle so well, it felt like I was there. Oh yeah, and the darkings were SO cute!!!!
Rating: Summary: Very Well Written! Review: My favorite type of stories are fantasy and I think Tamora Pierce has done a great job writing them. She is my favorite author (of course) and this book is my favorite book of all times. To summarize it, Daine and Numair are trying to escape being killed when Daine's parents (who are now both gods) rescues both of them and bring them to the realm of the gods. There they learn about the war between the Great Gods and Uusoae (I'm not sure if that's spelled correctly or not), the goddess of Chaos. They embark on a journey to Dragonland to ask the dragons to help Tortall win the war against the Copper Isles, Carthaki rebels, and the Yamanis. On the way there, they are accompanied by the badger god and the duckmole god. Both have to leave them for different reasons, though, so Daine and Numair travel only with each other. Daine gets trapped in a spidren web, and Numair rescues her...
Rating: Summary: Great book, great series. Review: Great series. Though this book wasn't quite as good as the others I love this type of book. Its exactly what I have been looking for. I wish I could find more like this!
Rating: Summary: WOW!!!! Review: ive just finished the whole of the immortals series and im completely in love with tamora pierces writing!i read the alanna series a long time ago and forgot how much i love her writing. i love what goes on throughout this whole series. my only problem is that when i finished the series i wanted more!!! at some times i felt like i was in the book and thats why i love the whole series soooo much. id recommend this to anyone who has ever dreamt of dragons, kinghts and talking to animals and much more!!! READ THIS BOOK
Rating: Summary: Give it 10 stars! This is a truly amazing book! Review: I was sad once i realized i would be finishing the series and i was afraid i might be dissappointed by this book but its FAR from dissappointing. This was probably by FAR my FAVORITE book by tamora pierce((i think)) i love the darkings to death! Numair and Dianes relationship blossom in this book and it is definitely an excellent book! I dont see how anyone could not like this book, it was truly a work of art! If you liked the first three you havent seen anything yet, this book will blow you out of the water. It is a wonderful ending to a spectacular series. This book will NOT dissappoint you one bit, though some people think the book can get a little... serious its nothing a mature audience cant enjoy. I have read this probably 5 times, i still laugh and i still love the whole thing! This is one book you WONT want to miss
Rating: Summary: Good but could have been better Review: Although at times a little slow, this is still a great book worth reading!
Rating: Summary: just the right formula Review: as a 14 year old I find this book excellent for a rainy day. Tamora 's formula of magic, dragons, romance, and action is just perfect. Some may think that this book needs parental permission, but I think that if a 6 year old were to read it, then they would find kissing and love just another interesting (or maybe even a eeewwww part of the book.) i have never been this intranced by a book since, well, never. To summarize, daine and her teacher and friend get sucked into the land of the gods and must get back to help fight a war raging in tortall, while daine and numair's relationship raises to love. As a person who loves to write fantasy and reality books, Mrs.Pierce is the greatest of a few influences
Rating: Summary: ROTG Rocks Review: This book's awesome.. Filled with adventure and the *romance* between Daine and Numair.. Must read :)
Rating: Summary: An Epic Conclusion! Review: This is the final story in Daine's quartet, and Tamora Pierce could not have written a better one. Not only is Tortall under attack from dangerous enemies, but the very gods themselves are too, revealing a more dangerous plan than either Daine or Numair have ever realised. There are moments of tension and moments of laughs, all very much contrasting nicely with a great pace. I loved both the darklings and the dragons who were masterfully done. And the very last paragraph, in fact the very last sentice has had such an impact on my understaing of the human condition and I still know it to this very day. Read this one, and you too will know what I mean, for this book offers both insight and a highly enjoyable read. Tamora Pierce has to be one of the best authors out there, and in RotG, her talent really shines.
Rating: Summary: Kick butt book!!! Read it or perish! Review: It is the best, best,BEST book ever. I love da Immortal series, and I also love BroadFoot. I LUV platap-er duckmoles. If you have not read the book then you are uneducated and idiotic. I liked the romanced between Numair and Daine, but dude, will they get married?? I mean Daine could like marry Numair and then cheat on him with Kaddar (I know, I'm phyco!)so someone should HINT to Tamora to write a 5th and 6th and 7th and- maximum of 1,000 words?!?! How in Mithros am I to explain this in 1,000 words? I need a million. Oh well. Come Badger, were meeting Daine and Numair for Breakfast.
