Rating: Summary: loved it Review: i think that this is such a good book. definatly the best of the series. i would love to see daine and numair get married...that would be very intersting. i highly recomend this book to everyone and anyone who loves fantasy and adventure....but READ THE FIRST ONE FIRST
Rating: Summary: A great conclusion for a great series. Review: When I had finished the 3rd book, I was disappointed.I thought it was the last one of this series. But this book is the best that could have happened to me.Daine and Numair's love showed through from the beginning and at least,I got the happy end I hoped for for such a long time. Tamora Pierce's my favourite author.I found the 4th book of the Alanna series by accident and loved it this instant. So I got through all of them.Only someone who loved them as much as I do can understand my happiness when I saw the first book of the Immortals series in the bookshop. They are even better than the Alanna books. All I can say is: READ THEM! NO MATTER HOW OLD YOU ARE.
Rating: Summary: I absolultly loved this book!!!!!!!! Review: I think this book was the best of the Immortals quartet.I especially love the end when Daine and Numair are back together. I think it is a great combination of love and adventure . I hope Tamora Pierce writes another book after this! I love her books!!!!
Rating: Summary: What more could one ask for?... Another book would be good Review: OK- If the person From England sees this- King Jonathan's name is not Richard (see review archives, October, two-star rating) Anyways- This book is by far the best of this series. I feel sorry for those of you who didn't like it. I wish Numair was real and I was his "Daine". But, in a true author's style, and even, Tamora Pierce's own style, she leaves us hanging once again (the first when George asks Alana to marry him and the series stops). I love these books (all 8) and I wish there were more. I must read the searies about once every two months or so. A note to new Pierce readers- Start with the Lioness Rampant series and work up from there.
Rating: Summary: Powerful Language? Review: Powerful language?! Hah! As if! This is a young adult book, written in a weak young adult targeted age range. Even 9 year olds can understand this book, that's why I found this so unappealing, it's so inexclusive. Powerful language?! Hah!
Rating: Summary: SEE LAST PARAGRAPH PLEASE!!!!! Review: I've been reading through all this (though I didn't get through all 106), and I've noticed a lot of arguing about Daine and Numair. Now if you couldn't see that coming, don't walk on the street, 'cause you won't see a two-ton truck, either. This is DEFINITELY one of the BEST books of one of the BEST authors I have ever read (book and author). Even if, in abstract, you disapprove of it, you can't help but accept it when you read Pierce's powerful language, describing their feelings for one another. Besides, it's her characters, and by now she knows what she's doing, OK. And you over there, casting aspersions--GET REAL!! Powerfully, creatively written, sparing no necessary detail--if leaving you in suspense. By the way, another quartet about Tortall is coming out. It sounds GREAT!!!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS AUTHOR, YOU HAVEN'T READ PEANUTS. GET A RIDE TO THE NEAREST BOOKSTORE, OR IF YOU'RE BROKE THE NEAREST LIBRARY, AND MAKE WHOEVER'S IN CHARGE ORDER IT FOR YOU. THAT IS AN ORDER!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: An uncreative ending to a good series Review: I loved the immortal series! Daine was so wonderful to read about! I always knew Daine was going to marry him, it was so easy to see in the other books! But I really hate this book because the ending was soo easy and predictable.
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!!! Review: I thought the first few Immortals were good, until I read this one! This one was the best!!!!! If you think Daine and Numair are a bad couple, then you have problems!! I mean, even from the first book you can tell they like each other!! And he's NOT 60, he's in his 20's. And I know people who are married and over 13 years apart! They're a perfect couple. And, anyway, everything is awesome, and you gotta read this book!
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!! Review: This book is extreemly good just like the rest of the quortet! They are NOT just for little kids! I'm 17! And One more thing any of you who don't like Daine and Numair together ARE YOU NUTS??? It was SO obvious they loved each other even in the first book! And he's 30 not 60! Daine talked about a girl she knew who was only a year older than her and already marryed with a kid too! Daine is alot older than her cronological age. She just fought a war! I think she can handle beeing in love with a man 14 years older than her! Ever read Emma? Mr. Knightly was 16 years older than Emma! Do you have some sort of problem with romance? Stop complaining!
Rating: Summary: I was 100% dissapointed Review: First of I hated how the story ended. As usual, this book is the perfect example of how the endings to series are some of the worst books around. A young teenager marrying and in love with a 60 year old? Come on....at least be a little more realistic shall we?
