Rating: Summary: TP at her best! Review: I thought this book ws absoultly rivating! I loved how Daine and Numair were thrown into the realms of the gods. The plot is perfect with it's many twists and turns, plus the little romance thrown in. With the way everything finally comes togather during the story is quite above satisfying. Daines past is fully exsposed and she finally learns everything. She also has to fight one of her greatest enemies. It is a work of genious and a wonderful end to a wonderful series!
Rating: Summary: An extremely wonderful book Review: I have loved Tamora Pierce books since the 1st Alanna one. When I started the Immortals series, I didn't find it as interesting as the Alanna ones.BOY WAS I WRONG! These books are fantastic! I loved the romance parts. Sure, of course I liked the action sequences and all the rest, but it was so juicy to find the little love scenes. The only problem was, there wasn't ENOUGH! Tamora needed to put lots of kissing parts, and gazing and stuff like that because those are some of the best parts! I don't care if Numair is almost twice Daine's age, it's the fact that he LOVES her that counts! Aaahhh. Tamora, make another book with more romance between Daine and Numair!
Rating: Summary: great! Review: Ok, so I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked this book... I liked the plots better in the other three books in the Immortals series but I REALLY liked the romance between Daine and Numair... Although, it would have been interesting if she and Kaddar...Nah... Anyway, I really liked the darkings but I DID NOT like it when stupid ole Ozorne... Well, if you read the book you know what he did but I will not spoil it for other readers...All in all this was either my least favorite or most favorite in the quartet (I can't decide because you have to balance out the plot and the romance:)
Rating: Summary: A Fantastical Masterpiece Review: As a young woman just slipping out of my teens, I've found Tamora Pierce to be an awesome writer in general with Realms of the Gods to be a crowning achievement. Tamora takes your hand and places it directly into "Magelet's". From there, she introduces you to Gods, Dragons, Mages, humans who can't seem to "stay in their stations", and creatures borne of the dreams of mortals. The strands of humor, sadness, outright joy, and romance all string together to create a beautiful world filled with strong, indepth heros who people identify with because of the insecurities they must rise above.
Rating: Summary: An Absolute Must-Read! Review: I have one thing to say and one thing only. Everyone who is whining and acting like Daine just hooked up with her grandfather......SHUT UP! If it's that big a deal to you, you should have stopped reading after the first book because it was SO obvious that they liked each other, even then. 14 years difference is not that big a deal. Take the classic Jane Eyre for an example...Mr. Rochester and Jane were 22 years apart and no one made a big fuss over that. Oh, and one more thing, to the ridiculous parents who go on about sexual content,GIVE ME A BREAK! I've read more sexual things in a science book! You'd be surprised how much kids already know by the time they're 8.
Rating: Summary: The rest of the series was better Review: Okay, I found this book a bit disappointing. Wild Magic, Wolf Speaker, and the Emperor Mage were all fantastic, and I was expecting a book as good as those. Well, the Realms of the Gods was an interesting book- I loved the darkings- but a bit of a letdown after the first three. I mean, it's great to see Daine's father and her mother finally, but they weren't very godly. And yes, Numair and Daine are finally together- I know a lot of you are pleased with that, but I don't really like Numair that much, and he's way too old for Daine. Poor Kitten and Cloud were barely in it, and since they're two of my favorite characters, I wasn't too pleased with that. I still think this is a good book, but in my opinion, it just can't compare with the first three. Wouldn't it've been interesting if Daine married Kaddar? That would certainly annoy all his advisors and all. Heh heh. Okay, so maybe that isn't really possible... I liked the dragons, although Jewelclaw and Moonwind and their gang annoyed me. But "Big Blue"- Diamondflame- was great. Anyway, if you've already read the first three, you might as well finish the quartet.
Rating: Summary: Oh my gawd this book is GOOD Review: I've gotta say that this is the best book I've ever read *along with Emperor Mage and the Golden Compass, of course*! I LOVE the romance between Numair and Daine, but what a way to end the book! And in The First Test we still don't now if they're married or not! Ohh well we'll probably find out soon enough! Anyways, I just gotta say that this is a must-read, Tamora your books are awesome!
Rating: Summary: Da Titest book Review: This book was great. If you're a Tamora Pierce fan you'll love this book and I mean it. After the hundredth time you've read it you'll still enjoy it. I'm not going to spoil anything, unlike other reviewers..., cause you have to read this book. Of course before you read this book, you'll have to read the whole series. That is if you want to enjoy the book a hundred times more, the other three books in the series would really help. And if you have read the other books in the series OH MY GOD...YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS. All I'm gonna say is that at one moment in the book my heart just stopped. I mean STOPPED. Yes, the book is that good. I hope this review helps.
Rating: Summary: Best Fantasy Series Review: This book is exellent. If you haven't read the series yet, then I HIGHLY suggest that you read it. Daine and Numair really hit it off in this book. I was laughing my head off at some parts (like I did in Emperor Mage). I really hope Daine and Numair get married, even if Numair IS 14 years older than Daine. GODESS BLESS!
Rating: Summary: They wouldn't let me give more than five stars! Review: I have been trying to get this book for ages, and now I have got it, its not even mine. Its the librarys. This means that I have to take it back after three weeks! If you have read this book, you will know what a disaster this is. I have to read it at least 100 times. How can you fit that into three weeks? Anyway, this is the best Tamora has written yet, better than all of them (I would know). I love cliff hangers, don't you? It lets you make up little stories of your own, and the best time to do them is in history. Daine's father is a bit weiryd if you ask me, what do you think? The darkings are the cutest. It was a bit confusing when they suddenly went into battle, but after you read it a second time, it all fits into place. I have read the immortal series so many times now, I feel as if I am her! Like, if there are some teenagers doing archery on the TV, I think, I'm better than them, but then I realise Im not! Does that tell you how good these books are. When Daine is rescued by Numair from the spidrens, when they kiss, my heart was going that fast! It is just typical of Daine not to realise that Numair loves her! It is really nice how they have a few special moments before they actually get together. Numair is not that old. I read in a magasine that this girl (16) got married to a 40something year old, who died on there wedding day! (true). Anyway, They are not actually going to get married till Daine's 19+. On Tamoras website, she wrote that they were still happily living together in Kels 3rd year as apage. Dont forget, they are worried the other is going to come to his/her senses someday. I have gone on a bit here, so I will just say that this book is the best, and you have got to get it. And Tamora, if you read this, you have got to write a book finishing things off, tying the loose ends. Fantastic book, luv from a person from Pirates Swoop, wishing she was in Numairs tower, aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh ps. if Daine has kids, will the Green lady will almost definately come (obviously)!
