When you read this the possibilities seem endless. "Locked in Time" is definitely a book worth your time.

Summary: What a lot of garbage
Review: This book was simply a waste of time. I don't even know why it was included in our 8th grade english curriculum. A book about a mystical evil woman who becomes immortal and eternally youthful through voodoo(?), as well her never-aging children. In addition, their charcters never evolve or will evolve (the evil mother, Lin or something, telling her daughter that she'll never mature) equally stupid. Thus, they are 'Locked in time' forever, and she keeps ensaring unsuspecting rich men into her trap until finally a dashing heroine has the guts to escape and put and end to these nefarious, but completely unoriginal, schemes. Interpersed are steamy romances and hysterics. The whole thing might have been taken from 'Arabian Nights' with a few modifications.

Summary: One of my favorite Duncan titles
Review: Having read most, if not all, of Lois Duncan's since 1992, this is definitely one of her best. It deals with a girl whose father has remarried. She grows attached to her new family, but detects that there's something "not right" about them. As a lover of suspense and a longtime Lois Duncan fan, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a book with an imaginative plot that makes you wonder: What if this were really possible?

Review: I have read maybe 30 books in my life. I choose this book for a school reading after reading some of these suggestions. I actually ordered another book for the next reading by the same author. I see myself as someone who does not enjoy reading, but for the first time I did when I read this book! A must read for anyone who likes suspense!!!
