Summary: This book is a book to read when there's nothing to do.
Review: I read this book for school when I was in 4th grade, now I'm in 6th. It gives you a better understanding of what the indians felt, not what a text book says.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Some Excitement, Mostly Boring
Review: I thought the book was OK the first time I read it. The second time though, it made sense to me that the book rambled on, and the only part worth reading was the action part that was only about 3-4 pages. I wouldnt reccommend thsi book unless you like very, very indetail details that go on and on and on....

Summary: Could be worse
Review: I found this book to be very boring. I've read worse, but not many. Scott O'Dell has wrote many really good books, but this is not one of them. It is really hard to be interested in Sing Down the Moon. There really isn't that much action and the plot is dull. I wouldn't recomend this to anybody, unless you are totally bored or you have to read it. That is just my opinion. Read it if you wish.

Summary: Historical Ficton: Native Americans
Review: This book reads quickly and captivates the reader, drawing one into the pre-Civil War Southwest. Narrated in the first person by a teenage Navaho girl (whose true name we do not learn), this book describes the ongoing persecution of the Navaho tribe. The US government of course is determined to relocate them onto reservations. While the enterprising Spanish seek to line their pockets by kidnapping young girls and selling them into Slavery in Mexico.

The young heroine falls victim to both evils; the book is the story of her struggle for personal freedom and more--her coming-of-age to such an extent that she can inspire greatness from her warrior boyfriend/husband. Hers is a matriarchal society, where women control the wealth by virtue of owning the sheep. Sometimes they have to herd the sheep with only two feet... A fascinating tale of bravery and personal dignity which will enlighten and interest most readers.

Summary: We Would give it a "0" but I can't
Review: We would rather eat worms than read this book ("book" in a loose term). We read this book with our 5th grade class, and we all HATED it, even the teachers (seriously). We wanted to burn the book. If you like torturing yourself, this is the book for you! It was BORING, TEDIOUS AND WE HATED THIS CRAP THEY CALL A BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse us, we have to go register "Sing Down the Moon" to the U.S. government as a lethal weapon.

Summary: Unconvincing and boring
Review: What's her face is an unconvincing character and I would never think of reading this again. Choose something else! I'm warning you! (It won't kill you, but it can be mentally damaging!)

Summary: Sing Down The Moon by an 8th grader-Vicki
Review: "Sing Down the Moon" by Scott O'Dell, is a story about a young Navaho girl named Bright Morning. Bright Morning is captured by Spanish Slavers and sold into slavery. She makes a new friend named Nehana, who helps her escape. But her troubles are not over. Once she returns to her village, she and her people are captured by the Long Knives. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: Greatest Book On Earth
Review: Reading Sing Down the Moon started out as a class project, but I liked it so much that I finished it really quickly and I'm going to re-read it soon. Bright Morning is captured twice and runs back to the Navajo Valley she's lived in all her life. She was very brave. I didn't want it to be over, I wanted to keep reading.

Summary: When you pick this book up you won't want to put it down!!!!
Review: I think this book has very good descriptions and a lot of show not tell. In this book Scott O'Dell keeps up the suspense so you never want to put the book down. I really like how at the end Bright Morning and Tall Boy escape from the camp and go back 'home.' By all the hard work and dreaming they did you could tell that to live and have they're baby there was all they really wanted

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: BORING
Review: THIS IS THEE MOST BORING BOOK MY TEACHERS HAVE EVER MADE ME READ AND THEY MADE ME READ ALOT!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMEMD THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WITH AN IMAGINATIO
