Summary: I bet you won't be able to put this book down!
Review: Do you like indians? Well, I've got the book for you. It's about a Navaho indian girl named Bright Morning. When Bright Morning and her friend Running Bird were taking sheep away, Spaniards captured them and made them work as slaves! Bright Morning had to work very hard when she was a slave. However, she wasn't treated too badly. This book is really good. I bet you won't be able to put it down. I hope you like the book.

Summary: Review
Review: A Review by Erik

One Spring Day two Indians from the Canyon de Chelly named Bright Morning, her
Black Dog, and friend Running Bird that finally turned fourteen. They decide to take their sheep to a mesa to feed. When the sheep were grazing Bright Morning's black dog barked and they turned around and saw two riders with twoextra horses that asked for directions but were really Spanish Slavers that
captured them.... Will they get away?

I like this book because of how it doesn't bore you with too much detail but get a good description of how everything looks. In the beginning you find out
that it's a spring day and gives a small amount of detail about the surroundings. Something I didn't like was how you don't really get a good character description. You barely know if they are a man or woman and their names are like Running Bird or Bright Morning. I also like that it lets you learn about the time period when the Spaniard's are taking slaves for there
cities. You get to see how they felt about this and how the people treated the Navaho's and what the Spaniard's were like.

The people I would recommend this book to would have to like historicalfiction. I think that it was a good story on how to learn about how the Spaniard's take the Navaho Indian's to be their Slaves as well as what their
lives were similar to.

Summary: a cruel world
Review: this is the story of Bright Morning an Indian who is stolen away by Spanish men and forced into slavery. She manages to escape and return to her village, but more soldiers come and tell all her people to leave. The soldiers force them to march many miles to a strange land. During this long walk many Indains died, and even if they didnt thier will to live was killed. The soldiers treated the Indians like they were animals. The most horrible part of this story is it was true. Mans inhumanity to man

Summary: Wonderful Book
Review: Sing Down the Moon is a great book, no lie! Itfilled our minds with adventure, caring and responsibility. How it filled our minds with adventure was when the Indians escaped and how they watched out for the long knifes. Bright Morning was very brave. It filled our minds caring when one of the indians got hurt, the others helped take care of that Indian. How it filled my mind with responsibility was when Bright Morning took care of a baby. You should read this book if you are very adventurous.

Summary: Sing Down the Moon literature group review
Review: We would give this book a two star because it had some exciting parts but too much description on the not as important parts, which made it a little boring.
This book tells us about a 14 year-old navaho girl. Her name is Bright Morning. She and her friend Running Bird are captured. They meet a slave named Nehana, who helps them run away. Their whole tribe is taken into captivity by the Long Knives. Then she marries Tall Boy ( a former warrior). They run away, have a child, and live happly ever after.
In conclusion we do not reccomend this book to anyone who likes excitment.

Summary: A great indian book
Review: I really enjoyed Scott O' Dell's book Sing Down The Moon. I liked it because it is about Indians and I am part Indian. My favorite part is when Black Dog tells the White Men to get off the land or else. This book takes place in Arizona. I think I would like to read another one of his books. I think you should read this book. It is a really good book.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The amazing book
Review: "Sing Down The Moon" by ScottO'Dell is about a group of kids who always fight about when they want to go somewhere because some want to go one place and the other one will want to go some place else. All they did was fight, so one day they went home to their parents and ask them how to solve the problem. One day they had the same problem all over again so they figure out what to do so they decided to go one place that day and the other place the next day. That is how they solve their problem every time they had one. You should read this book because its good and you could learn how to solve your problems from this book.
"Sing Down the Moon" is a good book because they wrote it the author with dialogue and in the dialogue the parts are funny. It is an OK book because some parts of it seem like it missing and some parts seem like it does not make sense. It is a bad book because it is to long.

Summary: S.D.T. M. Review
Review: I think SING DOWN THE MOON is a very good book. I think the best part is the end where Tall Boy and Bright Morning reach their canyon again. This book really did deserve the Hans Christian Anderson Medal!

Review: Bright Morning is a 14-year-old girl. It all started when she was grazing her sheep with her friend Running Bird. All of a sudden Bright Morning's dog started to bark, and birds started to chatter. Then Running Bird turned around and saw Spanish settlers. They started coming toward them. They asked them where Corn Mountain was. Bright Morning pointed out the direction to the mountain. The settlers came closer, and closer. Then in an instant they were beaten up and tied together. Where will they go and how will they get back to the Mesa where they live? Read the book Sing Down the Moon to find out what happens.
