Summary: A Holocaust Thriller
Review: I couldn't put it down! I'e never read such a book. It may sound like nothing but a sermon, but it's nothing like that! I'm a sophomore in high school, and I know excitement when I see it. On a field trip to the Holocaust museum, some students open fire, and Nicole passes out as she's trampled by the crowd, waking up to find herself in Nazi occupied France in 1942. All the people from her real life (parents, sister, and schoolmates) are here, andthe boy she had a crush on is even madly in love with her. But Nicole soon learns the real meaning of life, and that boys and clothes hardly matter as much as family, safety, and even food enough to survive when she finds herself in a concentration camp... with Anne Frank.

Summary: A Clash of History and 21st Century!
Review: If you like to read about the Holocaust and a different view, read Anne Frank and Me. It's thrilling and you won't stop until the very end! Amazing and brilliant!

Summary: Historical Fiction for Young Adults
Review: Cheri Bennet has delivered another wonderful book for Young Adults. There are not too many historical fiction books written that will capture the audiences attention and address such a difficult topic so well. With the opening of the Holocaust Museum in D.C students can have a vicarious experience back in time without ever leaving home and also be encouraged to see the museum themselves one day.
This book is gripping and exciting and is a non-stop read for all. Check all of her wonderful books out you won't want to miss them.

Summary: Anne Frank and Me-Authors: Cherie Bennett - Jeff Gottesfeld
Review: This book is told from a high school student's point of view whose name is Nicole. She's never been interested in school or done well. When her teacher assigns them to read The Diary of Anne Frank and write a report, Nicole doesn't read the book, but downloads stuff off the internet. Online, Nicole learns about some professors who are convinced Anne's diary is a fake. Nicole begins to agree with them until...
...her and her class go to an Anne Frank in the World exhibit in the museum and Nicole ends up going back in time and meeting the real Anne.
This book was very realistic and enjoyable. Although it was predictable, it still was hard to put down. If you read this book, I guarentee you a good read!

Review: Cherie Bennet and Jeff Gottesfeld wrote a terrefic play about the Holocaust. It will touch hearts of children and adults, and make them think they are actually in the Holocaust. Nicole Burns goes back in time to Paris in 1940, and becomes a Jewish girl whose father is in the Resistance. An amazing, courageous girl like Nicole will definetly remember this time for the rest of her life.

Summary: This is a very touching book!!
Review: I could not put this book down. But when I was in the 7th grade my english teacher had a whole month devoted to the Holocaust and World War II. When we first began the unit, my class and I did not understand why we were studing a war that was not during our time and about something we did not understand. But as the unit went on and we had to read a book about someone during that time, I began to understand that I could have been someone back then and what happened could of happened to me. I wish that this book could of been published back then so I could have read it. This book touched very close to home. I am not Jewish or knows anyone who was effected by the Holocaust, but I am a teenager and I know how hard life can be. So it must have been terrible being a teen during the Holocaust. We Nicole and Liz-Bette were in the gas chamber and were talking to each other I had to read it more than once, because I was crying so bad my vision was blurred. I have read many books on the subject of the Holocaust and World War II, but by far this is one of the best.

Summary: Research Rendered Readable
Review: What a marvelous gift Bennet/Gottesfeld have to make difficult, serious and intimidating subjects enticing to teen readers.
With an empathetic understanding of contemporary adolescent culture they make the horror of the Holocaust come alive to a generation in danger of forgetting it. Their writing is magnetic, their characters believable and their story fast moving.
Their effort will inspire students to do more in depth Holocaust research. I could not give a more enthusiastic recommendation to my students to read this book.

Summary: A Compelling Story
Review: Anne Frank and Me is beautiful. It is captivating and riveting -- the blend between the 1940's in France and 2001 in the USA is brilliant. Everyone should read this book -- it opens a door to a sad part in history that all should know about. It is also a wonderful personal possession that one should keep close to the heart. Once you get started reading, you can't stop till the end; it is that powerful and forceful. Sprinkled with humor, dashed with history, and mixed with the themes of love and family, it is more than just a book. It is a work of art.

Summary: Anne Frank and Me
Review: Anne Frank and Me was one of the the best books that I have ever read. It was so realistic I could easily been right in the book. It was heartwarming, yet suspensful. Anne Frank and Me really had a way to touch your heart. It creates such a picture in your mind of what the struggle so many jewish children had to go through everyday during the war even though they had done nothing wrong. I reccomend this book to anyone who loves a good well written, heartfelt book. Anyone who is interested in historical fiction or has an interest in world war two, this book is the right one for you.

Summary: The Best Book So Far!
Review: From the minute I read the first word of the book, to the minute I read the last, I knew it was one of the best books I would ever read. This book showed (not told) about the Holocaust and what it was like for a teen during that time. Be sure to read this book. I guarantee it will go on your list of favorite books!
