Rating: Summary: Full of Suspense & Attention Grabbing Scenarios Review: Vivian is a werewolf, loup garou, and she is bound to her pack. When she falls in love with a human, can she withstand her pack's law and live her life happily with the human? Or will sudden murders blamed on the pack bring her back to reality? Or is it she who is commiting the murders? Annette Curtis Klause captures the distinct feel of a werewolf tale in Blood and Chocolate. Laced with suspense, action, and romance, Blood and Chocolate never failed to leave my attention. Klause introduced an all new werewolf lore and made the book feel cinematic. Her characters were all fleshed out, and you cared for them. Especially that of the main character, Vivian. The ending is one of minor surprise, but of great surprise. Blood and Chocolate is by far one of the best novels I've read in a long time. And the cover of the book captures the feel of the book. Awesome cover. Blood and Chocolate is highly suggested for those who like horror, and for those who like a good thrill read.
Rating: Summary: Werewolf Lover Review: This book is a very good book if you are into werewolves. The author knows how to put herself in a werewolf's position and it has a twisted ending which I loved.
Rating: Summary: awesome Review: this book is really awesome. i just bought it a couple days ago, and i could not put it down. if you like these kind of books i suggest you go out and buy this immediatly! it is very well written and fast moving.
Rating: Summary: A perfect introduction to werewolves in literature. Review: I have a great fondness for books featuring werewolves- and it was 'Blood and Chocolate' that introduced me to the subject in novels. While it is, in places, lyrical, Klause does not weigh down the story by using flowery prose, or going on and on about the torments of being a werewolf- these 'wolves are what they are, and that's just fine with them.
Rating: Summary: Blood And Chocolate: A Great Read Review: Vivian is a teenage werewolf who has suffered a the tramatic loss of her father. Driven from her home because of suspicious neighbors, she is at a new school. Those in her pack are quarreling over who is to be new pack leader, she is arguing with her mother, and she is trying to find comfort in her paintings. While looking over her painting, she notices a poem written by a boy explaining the feeling of turning form human to wolf. Curiosity pricked, she seeks out this boy, Aiden. She starts going out with him and soon starts falling in love. She decides to reveal the truth about herself to him, but will he see her as the beautiful creature she is, and will she get into trouble form the pack if they find out she'e told. Read this book to find out. This book is a great read. I read it in a matter of hours. I think that if you like a good book, you should read this book.
Rating: Summary: Blood and Chocolate Great Review: I loved this book i read it in one day. I stayed up till 2 a.m. just to finish the book. It was really great. Vivan is very good and i really liked how she and her family could change into wolves. I wonder if the author has made a sequel. If not i hope she does because she should tell about what happens with Vivan and Gabriel.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: I have never really liked reading books, Im only 14 of course and in 7th grade, But im more mature than other people, and we had to get A.R. points and the Tittle just lurred me towards it, As soon as I started to read the book, I could not put it down, I kept getting in trouble because I was reading the book. I finished it in 2 days! Thats really amazing for me! I really wish she writes a 2nd book on that. Or maybe her daughter, or anything about werewolves! But this is a very good book to read. The picture and tittle just takes you away, but until you open the book, its like it sucks you in it.
Rating: Summary: A wonderfull book, but... Review: This book was a truly wonderfull read and i love it dearly! I read it in 2 days and then read it one more time!Anyway... The story simply put is about a werewolf girl named Vivan who is trying to be more human. After all she goes to a human school, enjoys human movies and books. And finds herself deeply attracted to a human boy named Aiden. But at the same time her pack is in terrible order, since the death of her father (who was the Alpha wolf)the pack has not replaced him yet and now terrible murders are being commited in the town. Some blame Vivian for reasons i will not say or i will be destroying the story! Just read it for yourself and see! The only thing that i didnt like about it was that Vivian is a 15 just truneing 16 year old girl who ends up being 'mated' to a 24 year old! In my mind thats just icky! I only ever dated men that were up to 2yrs older then me! Call me old-fashioned, but ugh! Other then this it was great!
Rating: Summary: Blood and Chocolate was a great treat! Review: This is a darker YA book then I ussually read but I loved the Silver Kiss so I had to get it and after hunting it down and having it in my hands I wasn't sorry I bought it. Vivian is a 15 year old girl who just want's to know what it feels like to fit in and be normal. Except she can't-under the light of the full moon her true nature is revealed. She's a werewolf. Vivian at first made me uncomfortable because she's very straightford and very instinct driven and not shy about what she want's. She's a unique of a character as I've ever read and once I stopped thinking of her as a normal human character I started to get her a little more but it was still a strange ride. Like a normal girl though, Vivian feels the pain of losing her father to a fire and the hurt at not being accepted by her classmates. When Aidan comes along she thinks she might have found happiness and acceptance but Aidan is a human who is completly clueless that he is not in love with a human girl-but a werewolf, a thing of fairytales and bad horror movies. Aidan is facinated by the occult, the mysteries of life but can he accept that his girlfriend is a wild thing with the forest in her blood? Or will he act like a...boy with brains and guts of jello?
