Summary: A book that anyone would love.
Review: This book is one anyone would enjoy. You get caught up with the story of Vivian, who has as many problems, if not more, then your average teen. She shows the problems everyone has in fitting in or finding out were your loyalties lie. It was refreshing to see an auther not make all the werewolves the bad guys. Ms. Klause filled the book with memerable characters and a wonderful storyline. This book is funny, sexy, and definately one I recommend.

Summary: This book was fabulous
Review: I loved this book! I hate people who gush, but this book was just fantastic. I have read some other teenage books about werewolves, and they always portray the werewolf as evil and disgusting. Vivian loves being a werewolf and does not kill himans for fun like others in her pack. If you like fantasy, this book is a must-read!

Summary: THIS IS A MUST-READ! I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK!
Review: Wow! What can I say? I finally found a book by someone other than Anne Rice, Christopher Pike, and LJ Smith that sweeps me away into my favorite sort of world! This book may be geared towards a youger audience, but it DEFINITELY isn't "just for kids"! Klause pulls off a sensual story about the supernatural without making it seem cheesy. Seventeen Magazine recommended this book a long time ago, and I finally got around to reading it. I am extremely impressed. The characters are believable, and Vivian's thoughts creep into your head and seem to become your own. This is a book that you just can't put down. I am 18 years old, and still think it's great! Keep on writing, Annette Curtis Klause! You're doing something right!

Summary: Forget a one-line review, how about one word? Incredible.
Review: Don't let them fool you. People will point out that this was published as a young adult book, they'll say it's a book just for kids. They are wrong. Here's the two cents of an almost 30-year-old reader: This is an outstanding story. Out of all the books I have read over the last twenty-something years, this is in the top three. Do Not Pass This Book Up!

Realistic characters and an exciting storyline are things I expect from every book, and I will not spend time commending Blood and Chocolate's here. Allow me to instead comment on Ms. Klause's unworldly ability to turn a phrase; there were times I just stopped reading so I could spend a few moments admiring the wording of a sentence. To say she is able to paint a picture with her words is a gross understatement.

Though the phrase 'something for everyone' has been so overused it does not hold the weight that it once did, I will use it for lack of anything better. If you like adventure, there's something for you in Blood and Chocolate. Romance? There are scenes in this book that will curl your toes. For kids or for anyone who can remember being young, the rich coming of age theme is what ties all the other good parts together. And (I might as well continue with the cliches) last but not least, if you like werewolves this is the book for you. A more complete, well-rounded shape shifter culture I have never had the pleasure of reading about. Do yourself a favor, get your hands on a copy of this book.
