Summary: An excellent "coming of age" story
Review: Although I do not particularly like the whole "werewolves as biker types" cliche, this author managed to pull it off and still keep me interested. She writes with sensitive attention to her characters' feelings, motivations and actions. A fast paced, enjoyable read. This story is certainly one that any young female can relate to...furry or not.

Summary: To Cool!
Review: This book is very exciting; it kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. It has an understandable plot, and is about a girl that everyone can relate to. Caught between two worlds, Vivian tries desperately to fit in. She doesn't find herself able to relate to her family, but she isn't very popular at school, either. There is some bad language, but it fits the plot. This wouldn't be very good if you are sensitive to bad language, but over all this story is thrilling and is sure to please anyone!

Summary: Blood and Chocolate Review
Review: I thought that Annette Curtis Klause had reached the top when I read one of her books called The Silver Kiss. But that was before I had read Blood and Chocolate. In it, Vivian is a loup-garou, a human wolf. Sometimes she is a wolf, sometimes a human. A werewolf. It is excellently written; once I started it I couldn't put it down. It does a great job capturing your attention, and the characters in it will earn your love or hatred accordingly.

Summary: Sexy and cool
Review: _Blood and Chocolate_ is the story of Vivian, a young werewolf who meets a human teenager named Aiden and becomes infatuated with him, even though relationships between pack members and "meat boys" are looked down upon within the pack. Gabriel is the fascinating and dark leader of her pack, with definite animal magnetism and charm. He frustrates, irritates, and attracts Vivian, who is learning what it means to grow up through the course of the book. There's danger and darkness, romance and horror, a believable heroine and, of course Gabriel, who is quite thrilling and an incredibly sexy character. Very highly recommended.

Review: This book has to be the most interesting, and accurate account of a werewolf's life... I was inspired and I am beginning to write my own book!

Summary: a great book that explores the lives of werewolves
Review: Blood and Chocolate is a great book. It talks about being werewolves and facing regular human beings. A teenage girl, named Vivian, has a special characteristic along with everyone else in her family, they're werewolves. Vivian has to learn to cope with high school life, facing all the problems every other teenager faces, but she also has to face her being a werewolf. She can't allow anyone to know that she is a werewolf. When she was younger the Five burned down her house in West Virginia, where she and her fellow werewolves lived. The Five is five werewolf boys who are always getting into trouble. During the fire, her father ran in to save some werewolves, but he didn't survive. The girl believes that her father's death was caused by the Five and could have been prevented if they weren't so mischievous. She doesn't really like the Five, not only because they killed her father, but for other reasons too. She writes a story at school about werewolves and other supernatural stuff, and Aiden, a fellow student and also a "meat boy", reads the story. He then asked her teacher who wrote the story and the teacher told him it was Vivian. Vivian begins to fall in love with Aiden, the "meat boy", at least she thinks it's love. Aiden is a "freak" who's into supernatural stuff. Aiden and Vivian then begin to date. When Vivian's mother found out, she was furious and ashamed that Vivian is in love with a "meat boy". Her mother will not allow it, but as usual the rebellious teenager disobeys her mother and continues to see Aiden. Vivian's mother stayed out all the time at a biker bar that she works at and where other werewolves hang out. It seems that she is always getting in fights and they are usually with a fellow female werewolf over a male werewolf, Gabriel, that they both desire. The Five finds out about Vivian's "meat boy" and they say that they are going to kill him. Vivian is threatened by the Five many times to stop seeing Aiden or she will get him killed. Vivian tries to be normal, but the beast inside of her wont allow it. She is a werewolf and she is a cold blooded killer. As much as she wants to tell Aiden about her dark secret, she can not. Vivian knows that if she did, then she would put her whole pack in danger. I enjoyed this book very much and I would recommend it to all readers.

Summary: Better Than Chocolate
Review: A compelling piece by Annette Curtis Klause. I love the way it's all pieced together. Anyone with love for the supernatural HAS to read this. Especially werewolf lovers. The story has more than one line, running together, which makes it much more realistic. Another great aspect is the stunning invention of Vivian's cultural background. Great length was gone to in order to ensure that this story would be,even if briefly, considered by many to have potential to be true. Klause also does not throw in idealistic love pictures, like many authors do. She writes love as it is. When it's obsessive, it's bad, and when it's true, it's simple. Most authors cannot understand this concept well.
