Summary: Werewolf perspective on teen problems
Review: With all that goes on in the world, Vivian is a teenage femal werewolf. Her pack is large, but she feels more alone than she thinks anyone can imagine. She isolates herself from them after her father's death causes waves that don't seem to want to disipate.
She wants to fit in somewhere, but doesn't think her place is with the pack. To cope, she reaches out to the meat-people(humans). This only succeeds in further seperation between the other werewolves and herself.
Vivian deals with problems that most teens have, but hers are compounded by the wolf within her and the fear that she can't control it. Love, mother, friends, and being stuck. That is life for so many.
Good book to read. You can feel Vivian's pain with her, but know that everything will end the way it is meant to.

Summary: Vivid and delicious
Review: This story sends chills down my spin with it's spectroscope of veiws and gives birth to whole new meaning of "werewolf". With an interesting and beautiful view of the mythological creatures, Klause created her, in my opinion, finest work. I HIGHLY recommend this book for teens who enjoy a _good_ werewolf novel with a tinge of romance and a dark edge.

Summary: I Love Blood and Chocolate
Review: BLood and Chocolate is an amazing mix of my 2 faves: horror and romance. If you like either of these, this book's for you.

Summary: A perfect title.
Review: The book was just what I was looking for. Full of mystery, magic, sex, and scandal. It kept me turning the pages. I little of everything, though the ending is kind of a let down- I shouldn't give too much away.

Summary: Finaly, a werewolf book that is fantsy and not horror!
Review: I am into fantasy and all of the books that make me feel like I actually am there and its real. So, as you can imagine, I don't think all mythical creatures should be bad and in this book they arn't!
I found this book in my school library and it was the only werewolf book there so I'm glad that someone finally wrote a good, no, excellent book filled with adventure and love for those of us who just love loup-garou and fantasy.
Really, if you havn't read this book you're missing out on a wonderful experince and need to go get it right now. I know that I couldn't put it down.

Summary: a seductive teen novel
Review: i was interested in this book the moment i saw it at the library. the cover art is very intriguing and eye catching. i had read one of annette curtis klause's other books, "the silver kiss" which was also very good. i have not read her "alien secrets" yet, it's of a much different genre than these two books. this one revolves around the story of a wolf girl (loup garou) that is interested in a human boy. of course, they fall in love and all this great sexy stuff happens and whatnot, but i think most can figure out what'll happen in the end. i liked this book, but when i read it i was about 11-12. i don't think i would have read it any younger, but i think older teens will also like it, even if it is a bit simplistic. it's very well written and encourages things like free spirit and doing what you believe in. i wouldn't call this inspirational in any way though. ^_^ I would certainly recommend reading this.

Summary: Enchanting... yet lacking
Review: The story has a good idea, a good title... yet it goes astray. This book has many raving reviews, but there are a few points in this book that a standard fantasy fan would find not so wonderful. Most books of this nature, and I believe this one too, it trying to tell you that the differences aren't that great. Two races aren't too different to love, too different to like. This story seems to follow the same track, though takes a turn which contradicts the 'message'. Vivian is a teenager, through and through. Though she has concerns for more mundane things, most of them lie in herself, cosmetics and of the like. In that sense, teenagers will find her easy to relate to, but then others may find this making her shallow. The title is wonderful, yet doesn't fully relate to the book. Blood is obvious, but the chocolate aspect doesn't shine through. The only mention of chocolate was to consule Vivian when she lost her love. On the whole the book is very good, but still lacking in many ways.
