Review: a must have for all charmed fans it takes you further into paiges life before she was charmed with one of the main characters being connected to paiges social worker job than her charmed one (both do end up mixing of course)

the plot i wont reveal but it's different to anything before with a few twist and turns in there to overall a good read even if your not a charmed fan

Review: After reading 'Shadow of the Sphinx', one has to wonder exactly what the authors who write the CHARMED books actually know when it comes to the television show they are based on. So thank the Goddess that Diana Gallagher got it right. No messed up names--no energy balls coming from the wrong characters.
As this story begins, Paige is trying to place a boy at a group home--rather than the harsh juvenile correctional center. After some strong persuasion, the administrator of the home agrees. A strong disrespect for authority, the boy tries to run away. But Phoebe manages to grab him as she is coming in. Right then, she has a premonition that could prove fatal to good magic. And she learns something new about her power.
The book is well written and nicely paced. It also develops the extra characters very well. Something that is harder to do when filming forty minutes of television. Minor details will be hard to place if you have not seen the entire series...I am not sure how the book relates to the other books...I have only read four of them. Enjoy.

Review: I've got every Charmed book out there and I have to say that this is the worst one to date. It was so boring and hard to get through. Whew! If you're an avid collector of Charmed books like I am, by all means, get it, but don't be surprised to find that this doesn't pass the grade.

I think the authors are now trying to churn books out as fast as possible to make a buck and they and their editors don't care about good stories.

Summary: very good charmed book
Review: paige is trying to plae a boy who has been nothing but trouble in all of his foster homes. the only options are a group home or juvenille corrections. after much persuasion she gets him in the group home. but when pheobe has a premonition linking the boy to a darklighter, the witches race against time to figure out the mystery and to save one they love. this was an excellent book. but then most that are written by gallagher usually are. this is one that is set in a more adult mood than some of the previously ones where us adults get the impression that you should not read the books if you are over the age of 12. happy reading.

Summary: Nice Plot, Unnecessary Character Development
Review: This is the 18th book based upon the Charmed series and involves a new facet of Phoebe's powers.

Right in the beginning, as Paige is working with a particularly unreasonable youth, Phoebe has a vision of a Darklighter shooting Leo with it's poisoned crossbow bolt. The vision is apparently from the view of the youth. There also seems to be a lot of fog.

Bt the fog in the vision is not caused by suspended water droplets. Leo finds out that this is an example of Mist and Stone. The mist signifies that the events in the vision are not set in stone. Later visions have less mist, thus making the outcome more certain.

But to solve the mystery of the vision, the Charmed Ones must discover just what is going on with the youth and the correctional facility he has been placed in.

The pacing and writing are very similar to other books in the series. But one must wonder about the Mist and Stone effect. Usually Phoebe's visions are clear, no mist. But they keep managing to change the outcome of these visions. How do these differ from the M&S vision? This is never really explained to satisfaction. But that is o-kay as the effect could have been left out of the book entirely and it would not have hurt the plot (which did not depend on the M&S effect).

If you have liked the previous novels in the series, then I am sure you will like this one as it is very similar. But if you have not liked the others then this will probably also disappoint.
