Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Jade Green Review: Jade Green, written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, is a story about Judith Sparrow, who is forced to live with her Uncle Geoffrey in South Carolina. Judith disobeys the only rule that her uncle has enforced-nothing green is allowed in the house. Judith Sparrow is the main character in this intriguing ghost story, and I am most fond of her because she is cautious, kind, and very genial. I dislike Judith's cousin, Charles because he always intrudes where he isn't welcome. The message of this story is that you shouldn't let other peoples' beliefs persuade your own. The ending event is the part (read the book if you want to know why!). I didn't like how Judith discovers the spirit of Jade Green, because it is very unoriginal, but overall, I was very satisfied with the book. The author has a very nice and interesting style. The book is well written and easy to read with hardly any large words. The descriptions of Judith's environment make you feel like you are there. I think this book would be most appreciated by children ages nine to age twelve, but I would recommend the book to all readers because it is exciting and has a great message. I would rate this book with four stars because it is very likeable. I urge everyone to read Jade Green and I can guarantee that you that you will enjoy it and you will probably read it in one sitting. * * * *
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Amazing! Review: I normally do not like ghost stories, but this book was amazing!!! I totally reccomend it. It was very suspensful, but not too much ( I could still sleep at night). The ending was very good as well. Everyone will like this book! Another rason I liked it was because Judith's relatives ( well, most of them) were nice to her, and the bad stuff was happening to them, too.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Great combination of suspense and romance Review: This book deals softly with some tough issues. (Creepy cousins for starters...) It reads like a great mystery story with a dash of romance. Loved it!
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Inappropriate Review: This book is inapprapriate for young readers. It ends with the orphan girl almost being raped by her uncle. Then the ghost's hand strangles the uncle. This is not something I want my child reading. It was required reading for him. Can't we find more encouraging and respectful plots for our kids.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great!! Review: This book was excellent. It was full of suspense. I don't want to tell you what happens or else you won't be surprised. I'm not interested in dull books but I know when a book is interesting or not. This book is interesting, believe me. I recommend this book to people who wants a spine-tingler.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Welcome to the town of Whispers... Review: "Ah miss,"the driver said, "that place is ..." "Haunted?" I teased. Ok. REALLY GREAT BOOK! First look at the back cover, (or inside flap) it doesn't seem so bad right? Well, that's only a summary ;). She's leading a nice happy life, until a ghostly force makes its presence known. Then, at her new job, her friend Violet tells her about Jade Green. (...). One day Judith goes to Jade's former room. A door in the room leads to the attic. Nothing suspicious there, until she starts coming down. Then she sees it. Bloodstains. On the last landing. The next time she comes and opens the attic door, she finds...A girl's glove and cleaver marks (apparently, what she used to kill herself). Then, sometime soon, she sees the severed hand. That Jade herself cut off. Then it starts doing ghostly things. Playing the last part of her Jade's favortie song Springfield Mountain in the middle of the night, chopping up the meat block with the cleaver, locking Judith and the cook in when there is a fire. Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A good suspense story, but a little to short. Review: (...) I thought this book was very good. It had action, suspense, and a little romance. One thing I did not like was the how quick a read the book was. Then again I am a fast reader so, I guess that it isn't that bad. If I could I'd give it 4 and 1/2 *'s.
