Summary: Jade Green: A Ghost Story
Review: This book is about a girl named Judith whose parents died so she went off to live with her uncle. Her uncle forbids anything green in the house, but she brings a picture frame in the color of green with a picture of her mother in it. Lots of people in her town asked her if they heard strange things in the house, as if a ghost were there. Soon, she hears the whole story of how Jade Green committed suicide in the house. Later on in the story, she learns that it wasn't that she committed suicide, but instead, her cousin had killed her.

At the beginning of the book, I thought that it was okay. The plot was great and something wanted me to keep reading it. However, the reason I didn't like this book was because of the short, choppy ending. In a way, I suspected that it was her cousin all along, but I would expect that the author knew we would think that and not have such a predictable ending. I at least wanted Judith to die so that it might scare me. This book's cover looked as if this book was supposed to be really scary, but it had a love story in it.

My favorite part of the book was when people told her the stories of what had happened to Jade Green. I was curious to know why a girl would want to die in torture. She was so interested in finding out what happened to Jade Green and got really freaked out. I liked that part because it showed that she got what she deserved; she didn't listen to her uncle and also she was too interested in the whole situation of what happened to Jade Green.

Summary: Awesome Ghost Story!!
Review: Jade Green is an exciting and spine-tingling tale of a young girl named Judith Sparrow that feels all alone in the world. Her mother has recently died in a mad house, and her father passed away a few years ago, so the young girl goes to live with the only relative that will take her in, an uncle that lives far from her, in a town called Whispers. He has given her only one rule, which is that nothing of the color green is allowed in the house. However, Judith disobeys this rule because she simply cannot part with a green silk frame that was given to her by her mother with her picture in it. The first day that the green object is brought in to her uncle's house, strange and unexplainable things begin happening. Judith then hears of a girl named Jade Green that lived in the house three years ago and committed suicide on the steps leading to her room in the attic. Judith doesn't believe this at first, but when even weirder things keep happening every day, she gets scared for her life and worried that she may be destined for the same place her mother died - a madhouse.

I enjoyed this book very much. Phyllis Reynolds Naylor has done a wonderful job of creating this spine-tingling ghost story. At the end of every chapter, there is another twist or turn that makes you want to finish the book right then just to see what happens. I would recommend this book to anybody who isn't afraid of being scared. I would also recommend that you don't read this book before you go to bed. I thought it was well written, easy to understand, and flows together well. It was definitely worthwhile to read this book.

Summary: Fabulously Written!
Review: Before arriving to her Uncle Geoffrey's mansion, Judith Sparrow, a recently orphaned child, was strictly forbidden to not bring any object of the color green. Nevertheless, she couldn't resist leaving a possession of the color given to her by her late mother, and so, like any 15-year-old girl, she brings in along secretly. However, once she sets foot in her room, strange things starts to happen, especially during the night. Much to her concern, Judith learns that a suicide, of a young girl named Jade Green, had taken place at the mansion 3 years earlier. As she lives day by day in the mansion, Judith slowly reveals the truth that Jade Green was indeed murdered. The more she learns, however, the farther she has to hide from the murderer. In this magnificent ghost story, the suspension intensifies at every turn of the page, and things happen when you least expect them to.
This story is without a doubt one of the best I've read in awhile. Yet, I didn't like the way the author sort of revealed with the murderer was. I wouldn't want to give it all away, but from the beginning until the end, the reader could actual guess who the murderer is, more so because of the attitude of that particular character. Nonetheless, if this ghost story hadn't been so revealing, I'm positive that the books will be worth the reading.
Written in the point of view of the main character, Naylor has certainly written a terrific and detailed wording of what Judith's thinking. Because it was written like this, it can give the reader a more understanding of the character. Especially through all the twists and turns, I found the excitement reading between the lines terrifyingly great. Still, I thought that there could be an improvement in the way the murderer was revealed. Nevertheless, I found this book to be of great interest, and do recommend it for others who are interested.

Summary: My Little Tiny Insignificant Review.
Review: This book, Jade Green, by Phyllis Renolds Naylor is a VERY
good book. When I say something's a good book, I mean it,
because I normally don't read a lot of books. It's a horror
flick, sliding you in and our of your seat with tension and
suspense. If you like these sorts of books, this one is
definitely the right book for you. It's just filled with
on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense, so much you will
want to read this whole book in one sitting in order to figure
out what's next!!...
