Summary: Jade Green
Review: Judith Sparrow, a fifteen year old girl who has to move to her Uncle Jeffery's house, is orphaned. Not knowing the happenings of mysterious happens of the girl before, Jade Green. There she meets Mrs. Hastings, Zeke Carey, and Charles, her forty year old cousin. Coming to the house in South Carolina, she is forbidden to bring one thing into the mansion, the color green. Unfortunately Judith had the last picture of her mother in a green silk kind of picture frame. Strange things begin to happen as she understands more and more of the story of Jade Green. When she finally figures out what happen, strange things happen to her. A locked door mysteriously opens in a fire at the mansion, and sounds at night. Judith wonders if she this is all true or if she is going mad.
I thought this book was not too bad, but at some parts I really didn't enjoy. I really enjoyed how they used the many interesting beginnings like, "Kneeling on the floor of the closet, the candle casting among eerie shadows, I felt apprehensive and my flesh grew cold still." I mean those kinds of mysterious beginnings really encouraged me to go on. The parts I didn't enjoy were when her cousin, Charles, appears out of nowhere behind of Judith. Those parts are really creepy. I really thought that it wasn't needed. What happens in the end with Judith and her cousin in the end is even scarier.
What I liked most about the book was when she hears the story of Jade Green. It is really interesting hearing how a wonderful life, could turn into a disaterous end. I did like the parts when the hand of Jade Green showed up. For example is this the part where Judith is going to take a shower. "But this time, as I turned to get up, I gapped in horror, and my breath stopped. For there on my rug lay a hand, a human hand. A girls right hand, detached from an arm and body." These parts mad the book more interesting and urges me to read on.
My favorite part of the book was when in the end Jade's mysterious hand appears and saves Judith from her cousin a second time after Judith finds out the truth about the death of Jade Green. It was when everything in the book that didn't make sense, made sense. I know it sounds kind of awkward to hear this but it is true. I really enjoyed this book and encourage readers who like strange mysterious genre to read this book.

Summary: Wonderful.
Review: Orphan Judith Sparrow is sent to her Uncle's home after her mom dies at a madhouse. Her uncle, however, has a very odd rule. "No green is allowed in the house" Judith can't bear without a silk photo frame given to her by her mother. She promises herself that she would always keep it in the back of her suitcase. Soon strange things begin to happen...
This book it beautifully crafted. Mrs. Naylor has written a magnificent book. She balances out the romance to a great level; not too much or too little. I recommend Jade Green to anyone.
