Summary: Awesome!!!!!!
Review: This is a great book about girl power. It shows that you can be anything if you want if you believe in yourself. I have read it over and over and never get tired of it. I recomend the second book in the series 'cause its the best one. It reveals she is a girl to everyone. There are a lot of shocked faces!!!

Summary: Great Fantasy Book
Review: I was ten and bored when I bought this book whilst on a vacation. I must have read it 25 times that summer before I found out the other books had already been published. I went out and bought the rest of her that were available. Love the series, love the author and can't get enough.

Alanna is a girl, growing up long before the times when girls were allowed to fight. She switches places with identical twin brother ... The reader is led through a plot of adventure, hardships and good ol' fun. 5 stars to my first ever young adult book.

Summary: Wow!
Review: This book amazed me. Tamora Pierce certainly has a way with words. Within the first quarter of the book, I knew Alanna. She is a courageous young girl who takes on a chore that no girl has ever faced, and the odds are against her. To see her triumph is very satisfying. I promise to anyone that reads it that they will like it. This marks a beginning of an incredible series that I await very eagerly.

Summary: Comfort food for the mind!
Review: If you are a young person, you should purchase and read the Song of the Lioness quartet ASAP. If you are an adult, you should buy the novels and give them to your favorite children, but not before reading them yourself! I first discovered this quartet in my local library ten years ago, when I was in the second grade. I read these books, and was captivated (despite the fact that my understanding of the concept was not complete until a bit later). I would estimate that I've read this series upwards of 60 times - at least 6 times a year for the past decade, and more often when I was younger. I know the books practically by heart, and yet I discover something new every time I read! These are Tamora Pierce's earliest novels, and are still the best of everything she's written!

Summary: Girl knight or not?
Review: Boy or girl, knight or not, everything is a mix-up when Alanna and her twin brother switch places, Alanna as a knight and her brother to the convent to learn wizardry. No one knows until Alanna makes friends with a prince and he finds out. Then a mysterious sickness appears in the palace. The prince becomes sick and only Alanna has the gift to help him. Will she save him in time or perish along with him?
