Review: Alanna is a character all girls can look up to. I particularly liked that she wasn't afraid to go after her dream. I recommend that you read the rest of the books in the series. For once, we have a story about someone who can take care of herself and doesn't worry so much about what others think! Thank u Tamora Pierce. Please continue to write.

Review: I have to say that these books are wonderful and should be read by everybody. I started reading Ms. Pierce's books when I was about 9, now that I'm 18 I still crack them open often. These books are ones you read when you feel down or just need to read something that you know every line to. For years, every time I stepped into a bookstore I asked about the new Tamora Pierce books. I love Alanna and all she stands for. I felt tremendous sadness when the fourth book ended like the ending of an era. To this day every time I finish reading one of the books I always feel sad just because the story is over. I loved every single one of the characters like my own friends. In the many years I've had the books I've passed them on many times but only to friends I knew I would get my copy back from : ) I can't think of any other books that I hold more dear to my heart. I hope to read many more books from Ms. Pierce and I encourage you and you family to read them.

Summary: An enchanting experience that will leave you entranced
Review: In all of my 17 years I have never read a book so captivating. The way Tamora captures the characters in the story and then conveys them in a way which not only leaves you with a picture in the mind but also a feel for the character is totally mindblowing. Alanna the Lioness is a tale of how 1 girl manages to combat such opposition to become the first Warrior Maiden in centuries. This book is for every type of reader. If you are partial to a bit of adventuer, romance, mystery, fantasy, you name it, its in the book. I would definately advice people to buy this book and why stop there, get the whole quartet for an experience that will last for a lifetime and then some more.

Review: This is a great book, involving sorcery, Knights, Thefs, Gods, and adventures. Alanna is a girl who diguises her self as as boy to become a knight. She learns fighting with swords, spears, lances, and axes. With her teacher Myles she goes to some ancient ruins and finds a magical sword called Lightning.

Review: I think it was an excellent book! I love Alanna. She played an important part in my life for a very long time. Unfortunately I read the book from the library and then became so attached to it that I had to buy it anyway!

Review: I have read every book that Ms. Prierce has ever written. I also intend to keep my record. This quartet sparked my intrest and since then I have quested for a character like Alanna. None has been found. Of all the books I've read these four are at the top of my list. I would love to congratulate Tamora on her epic(s). I myself love to write and have based my style on hers. Truly an amazing book. I cannot sing it's praises enough. I wish she would revive this character and write more of her adventures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0)

Review: I can't believe how one person's life has affected my own. Day and night I am reading the Alanna series again and again. From her magical powers to her athletic abilities, Alanna enchants even the weak minded with her courage. One will cry out when she struggles, yet rejoice when she succeeds.
