Summary: One of the BEST books Ever!
Review: This book is about a girl, Alanna, and her twin brother, Tom. They switch places and Alanna ends up going to the palace to become a knight, while Tom becomes a soccerer. The book series mostly focus on Alanna and her struggles to become a knight. She makes many friends. Two of these friends are: Jon, the prince of Tortal, and Georage, the king of thives. (He's my favorite.) This book is one of the best and has been in my top 10 favs for 4 years. I recomend this book to girls or adults. I frist read the series in 2nd grade but did'nt understand them til 4th grade.

Summary: Wonderfully Good!!
Review: Alanna is eleven years old and wants to be a knight rather than be sent to the convent and learn to be a "lady". So she trades places with her twin brother, who will learn sorcery at the convent. The author has written a great book. Don't miss the rest of the series, In the hand of the goddess, The Woman Who Rides Like a Man,and Lioness Rampant.

Summary: Pretty Good Story of a Young Girl
Review: At times this book was juvenile, but when the love scene in bed between Alanna and Jonathan came on it was just too much for the range of age this book aims at.

The love scene was just too trashy and dirty for the kids that are to read this book. Some do it well, some don't . In this case, it is vulgar and tiresome. The "love" between the two could not be felt anyways, and by the end of this sequel, it's no surprise.

If you liked this book, try "THE IMMORTALS" or "THE CROWN & COURT DUET", both are fabulous reads.

Summary: One of the best books ever!!!
Review: I'm a fan of mideval time and knights. I found out about this book when I was at one of the libraries in my city. The first book I read was In The Hand of The Goddess. I was really sucked into that book. I looked for the first book but couldn't find it. At my school library I found and, boy was I happy. I couldn't belive that I found the first book! When I learned of how Alanna wanted to become a knight and not become a proper lady as she should have, I wished I could have been her. It would have been sooo cool to train to become a knight! If you have a comment about my review, please e-mail me.

Summary: Alanna. . .the spunky, spirited, girl wonder!
Review: Alanna's first adventure takes you right in the heat of battle! More than simply an adventure book, Alanna isn't just a killing machine bent on being a knight. She deals with problems all girls have, and more so. The characters are warm and alive, with strong, wild personalities. Read the first adventure, and you'll be back online or at the bookstore, hunting for Tamora Pierce's others. Thank Mythros that there's three more to keep you reading and Alanna, George, and Jon are intertwined in The Immortals series, as well.

Summary: One of Tamora Pierce's best novels.
Review: I loved this book. It was the first ever book by Tamora Pierce that I read, and it got me totally hooked. It has great plot, and it is written in such way as to make you want to keep on reading. When I read it I couldn't put it down. I also like how Pierce manages to create characters for the people in her book, so that they act the way a person with their character would. It was a really awsome book, and I highly recommend that you read it.

Summary: Luv the Book!
Review: This was a really great book! It had all sorts of adventures, and yet there was a lot of emotion involved in the story too. You really feel for Alana as she goes through all sorts of troubles, and then rejoice with her during her victories. This book is really good, and I highly reccommend it. The other books in the series only get better :)
