Review: When i got this book, i couldnt put it down for even a minute!!!I finished it it a few hours!!Alanna is really an inspiring character, and kinda reminds me of me. Its intriguing and full of adventure.I read Song of the Lioness Quartet and The Immortals, I really recommend these two series to readers. I luv the Lioness series so much that i can read them 100 times over.!

Review: This is my absolute favorite book. I am a fan of Tamora Pierce and her style of writing. In this story Alanna pretends to be a man in order to get in to training to be a knight. The story is witty, full of excitement and I sugjest it to anyone who likes to read good books!

Review: This is one of my favorite books. I read it over and over. It took me a week the first time, but now it only takes me half a day to read it. I get so into the book I block anything else out, even in school. It feels like I am Alanna sometimes. And I love a book that does that. This book is great. I recommend it to anyone who loves, or even doesn't love, to read.

Review: Alanna: The First Adventure was a awesome book. I couldn't put it down and right after I finished the first thing I did was rush out to get the 2nd book In The Hand Of The Goddess. I definetly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, as well as the sequels and the Immortals series.

Review: I thought I would hate this book. My mom bought it for me, and I was like, yuk, who would even think of buying it. So I read every other book I had until that was the only one left. So I read it. IT WAS GREAT! I thanked my mom hundreds of times, then got the other 3. The third book dissapointed me. I mean, really, one minute Alanna and Jon are madly in love, then in the 3rd one, the fight pretty much every time they talk. I haven't yet to read the last one but I guess I will. I've also started in the Immortals series. There very good to, but there's no romance, yet anyways. I've read up to the second one. Well, I recomend the Immmortal series, but the Alanna series.........their kind of upsetting. But if you want to you can, it's just my opion. Bye~Kimberly

Summary: Favorite series of all-time
Review: I think Tamora Pierce created a masterpiece with this series, and I am quite disapointed with her CIRCLE OF MAGIC books. But the IMMORTALS were okay. I have read this series so many times that sometimes I feel as if I AM Alanna... It takes real talent to create a book/series that makes you feel this way. I only wish they had Alanna's story in hardcover... my paperbacks are wearing thin. If you love Pierce's books, you NEED to try Sherwood Smith's CROWN AND COURT DUEL books.

Review: When I first heard of the plot-- a girl becoming a knight, I was thrilled. It sounded precisely like the type of book I enjoy reading.The plot turned out to be excellent and moved quickly. Unfortunately, the characters and their interactions were somewhat less than ideal. Rather...well, flat. I was particularly revolted by the "love" between Alanna and Jon. While sometimes almost childish, this novel was also occasionally rather crude. Read it for the adventure and the concept, but not for the characters or romance. For books carried out with much more skill, try the Crown and Court Duet by Sherwood Smith (I cannot praise these enough), The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede or The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander.

Review: This is the kind of book you can't put down intill you're finished. Alanna is a bright girl, who loves fighting. Her father decided to send her twin brother, Thom, to be a knight, and Alanna to be a lady. Thom wants to be a sorcerer though, and Alanna wants to be a knight, so they switch places and the adventure begins!
