Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!!!!! Review: I loved it. The plot was wonderful, the leading female was interesting and thought for herself, and Pierce is gifted. I loved Alanna's character and think that she is a wonderful lead for any story. If only more stories were like this.I also liked Jonathan and George. Pierce made every character so real-I mean we ALL hated Ralon.
Rating: Summary: Great introduction to a fabulous series Review: Even though people complain that this is the least interesting book of the quartet, I have always thought that the introduction to Alanna's adventures was interesting and really good. I loved getting to meet the characters and I thought the scene in the Black City was particularly fascinating. Great book!!
Rating: Summary: A knight that might be discovered any moment Review: Most of my friends were reading this book, so I desided to get it in the library. I loved it. I think that this is the best book in the series.

I remember that a teenager recommeneded me the book. Th is book is the classic image of a strong independent woman Read it and tell all your friends But be warned not to read any other of her books becasue they are very disappointing after alanna
Rating: Summary: AMAZING Review: This book is definitely one of the best I've ever read. The characters are completely lovable or believably dangerous, always totally realistic, the concept is skillfully made a reality, and the ideas are incredibly imaginative. The book is a story about the emotion, magic, and fortitude of a young woman who dreams of becoming a knight. She must overcome obstacles with the sheer force of her will. This is an extremely good book. I would definitely recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A young girl who gose to a castle to become a knight. Review: This is by far the best book I have ever read. I am completely stuned by how well the Author has portraid the charecter Alanna. She is a spirited young girl who Has one dream. Not to become a grand lady, but to become a knight Erant. I highly recomend this book to anyone with a sence of adventure.
Rating: Summary: This Is The Best Book Ever! Review: I think that this is definetly one of the best books ever! I got it last year and I have read it so many times, but yet it never gets boring. If you aren't sure whether to buy it or not, take my word for it, Buy it. It is such a wonderful book I think everyone should read it. The way that Pierce describes the book the setting and the characters I can think of a certain scene and I KNOW what it looks like. I know exactly how everthing is set up how everyone is dressed whats in the scene and how the characters are feeling without even being there. This Is my favorite book out of all of the books and so far out of all Tamora Pierce's books. It's great. The way Alanna is described you know her like a best friend someone you've known your whole life, And someone you know really well. I loved this book and I think you will too.
Rating: Summary: Still the best Review: I first came across this book when I was fourteen or so. I'm 20 now, but this book and all of the others by Tamora Pierce are still among my favorites. Some people have complained about the romance in the later books being "disgusting", and the characters a little shallow. For those who complained about romance, grow up. Romance is part of life, so deal with it. It's not like the sex is ever explicit, just sort of hinted at. And as for "shallow" characters, when you're trying to fit four years into one book, you can't really go on endlessly about feelings and such, can you? Besides, they only seem shallow the first time around. I've read the books at least 6 times each, and everything seems much deeper every time. You have to read between the lines for a lot of the character development: how they react to certain situations, and how it would have been different in an earlier book. Also, the books teach a lot without you realizing it. Things like not giving up, going for your dreams and that just because someone says you can't do something doesn't make it true, for example.
Rating: Summary: LOVED THIS BOOK FOR YEARS Review: I Read this book for the first time when I was 12. i'm 19 now and I still go back to reread it. I like the Lioness series much more than her others. it is more mature and fun!!This is the book that made me realize reading can be fun.
