Rating: Summary: BEST OF ALL Review: i have read this book so many times i have it memorized. i have read all the books in the lioness quartet as well as the immortal series. she is a great author and i recomend her for any begining or advanced fantasy reader. there has been only a few books that match up or come close to the excellence of those written by mrs. pierce. the characters are interesting in some way that even i an avid reader can't explain. i cant wait to read what she may have next and i will continue to read her books over and over.

Rating: Summary: Great Fantasy Tale! Review: I love this first adventure in Alannas' story. I have read it twice and both times I have felt admiration towards her character for the bravery she exhibits. I find it very suspenseful, you are always worried about Alannas' disguise being discovered. Besides Alanna, I enjoy all the other characters as well. The story is interesting and a fun read. Read it!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Book Review: This is a wonderful book. It is full of adventure and fun. It is about a girl who trains to become a knight disguised as a boy. Alanna has many hardships in this book, from defeating the palace bully to overcoming the Ordeal of Knighthood. Its a great book! Everyone should read it!
Rating: Summary: I love Alanna! Review: She's brave, she wants to be a knight and she has very strong powers with the Gift. Who is she? Alanna! Alanna must use her skills and test her bravery to save her Prince and and earn her shield. Whether she's fighting a fellow page or ancient monsters, Alanna's got what it takes! I loved this book, and I recommend it to everyone. If you like this book, be sure to read 'In the Hand of the Goddess', the second book in the 'Song of the Lioness' Quartet. I love all of Ms. Pierce's books especially 'In the Hand of the Goddess' and In the Relms of the Gods' (The 4th book in the Immortals Quartet) Please read all of them!
Rating: Summary: Can I say this was the best book I have ever read! Review: Alanna is my favorite character, I read through this in twodayswhen I was in 5th grade. I'm not even that much of a book worm. Ican't remember the times that I have read this book, and it's sequels, they're are just uncountable
Rating: Summary: One of my FAVES in Jr. High.... Review: I've read this book and series 3 times already! Tamora Piercedoes an excellent job at creating outstanding characters andintresting situations. Heck, I even like the bad guys; they're that awsome. If you're into fantasy/action/romance/comedy... read this book! ;D I command you!
Rating: Summary: Worth reading, with reservations about the sequels Review: Alanna is a wonderful heroine; I can say without reservation that she is probably the character that I have most wanted to be. She's Joan of Arc without the burning, Hatshepsut without the traitor. Until the coming of Protecter of the Small: First Test, I could say with certainty that this was the best book Tamora Pierce had ever written. It was free of the romance that plagues the other three, while still packing in the action and interest. I won't lie. I loved all for books, but the first book was by far the best. Even though I yearned, HARD, for Alanna's next adventure, even past the end of her fourth and final volume, I couldn't help thinking with nostalgia about the beauty and innocence of this first, with the strength of the characters overridng the shock value of their relationships. I was always a bit disturbed by Alanna's immoral behaviors in the last three books (read them and you'll understand!) Whatever happened to the old, "I promised myself once I'd never love a man" bit? Anyhow, A:TFA is worth a read. Don't expect to go too deep, but expect an uplifitng story with enchanting characters. If you're younger, I suggest waitning until you're Alanna's age before tackling the next few books. Trust me; you'll enjoy them more later.
Rating: Summary: I'v have read this book more than anyone Review: Since I got this book for my 10th birthday I have loved it! I have read the series far over 20 times. I love the characters and I can quote from the book. The first and second book in the series are my favorites because of the fact that Alanna can let no one know her true identity. This series is the total bomb. A must must must read series. Alanna all the way
