Summary: Can I give it more than 5 stars?
Review: This is the best book I have ever read. It is about a girl named Alanna who dresses up as a boy, and goes off and learns to be a knight. This book is her first four years of training. In this book, she makes friends, practices fighting and even saves a life with her magical healing gift. The other books in this series tell about her adventures as a knight. These books are wonderful for anyone who likes fantasy, romance and adventure. I love all of those ingredients, and that is why I just loved this book. Hope you like it!

Summary: A book to read over and over again
Review: First, I must admit that I am 26 years old and I still read Tamora Pierce's books. I started with Alanna 14 years ago. I enjoy reading about Alanna's world and her adventures. The mixture of knighthood and magic is wonderful. I also enjoy watching Alanna grow first as a young page, then squire, and finally as a knight. The transitions and relationships she faces are timeless. This is a great book to a excellent series.

Summary: This book suduces your sences, and makes your mind tingle...
Review: This book is an epic story about a young girl named Alanna, who dresses up like a boy to make her dreams come true. Knowing the punishment is harsh, Alanna conjures up the courage to chop off her hair and switch places with her twin brother. Her one and only goal is to become a knight and do good deeds. Not wanting to accept the Gift the Gods gave her at birth, the Gift to heal, she is told she must use it in order to please the Gods. As her brother Thom goes off to learn sorcery, Alanna takes the risk of her life and prays that her seceret about being a girl is safe with her and her inmate, Coram. As the story begins, she befriends the prince, Jonathen and many more. Of course there are enemies along the way, but there is no obsticle Alanna can't face without a little courage. (And lessons from her friend George, a seventeen year old man who helps out Alanna when she needs him.) This story enspired me to do what I am told no questoins asked! (LOL) Very accurate with its information, Alanna is a series I would reconmend to anyone! I bought it in the morning, and was done with it that night. This book sucks you in and seduces your soul. Makes your mind tingle with question and surprise, and grow with the characters as they grow. Dissapointment never rose in me, only anticipation and excitment. I also caught myself falling in love with the ever so popular prince, Jonathon! If you love adventure, romance, mystery, and excitment, read Alanna and I guarantee this book is for you! Thriving with fun and enchantment, Alanna is surely my favorite series yet!

Summary: The best books in the world
Review: All 4 books in the lioness quartet are so intresting and you can just outright laugh out loud when you here the knights joke around, and you can feel the love of what Alanna goes through and how she is torn between men. It shows that girls can keep going even when it seems easier to men. They have made me cry, laugh and a stronger person. Tamora if you would, please keep writing on the Lioness Quartet series, into her older years with George and her children it would make me and other people I know so very HAPPY.

Summary: Once Just Isn't Enough
Review: I don't know why I decided to read this book, I just did. Now, I'm on the third book in the quartet. These books prove that girls are just as good as boys. These are realistic books. Tamora Pierce doesn't skip out on pretty much anything that happens to Alanna. Even though I'm only 10 years old, I love these books. The romance is brief and easy to ignore. It's part of everyones' life and you'll just have to get used to it. Tamora Pierce does an amazing job describing Alanna's battles and life. I'd recommend this book and all of the others in the quartet to anyone. I think I'll read these books more than once and thank the author everytime I finish one book for creating it.

Summary: Alanna is great!
Review: Alanna is brave and she is good at healing magic and also fighting, she can only be better! I only wish some of her friends like Raoul, Myles, and Gary, would know her ture identifity. This is one of the greatest book I've ever read, except Harry Potter.

Summary: The Alanna Series - The Greatest Books Ever?
Review: This series are my favorite books. Ever. Period. A classic in our own time, if you have a 12 year old daughter, or a daughter who ever was 12, this is THE thing to give her. I got them for my 12th birthday, said "Eww, books," and then actually read them so many times the pages were shredded and the books fell apart. I'm 20 now and I still read them at least twice a year. BUY THEM NOW so that my favorite author can get the recognitions she deserves!

Summary: Alanna The First Adventure
Review: Alanna, and all of the books in the Song of the Lioness quartet are some of the best books I've ever read! I read the first one a few years ago and was amazed at how good it was. Alanna the herione in this book is convinced to become a knight. So she and her twin brother switch places. Alanna off to become a knight and her brother off to become a mage. This quartet follows Alanna on her quest to become a knight. Tamora Pierce is a wonderful author through and through. I have read all her other quartets and I am waiting for her newest book from the Library. If you area Harry Potter fan I'd definetly recomend Alanna and Tamora Pierce's other books! If you have already read Tamora Pierce and are looking for something new and just as good I'd recomend The Lives of Christopher Chant and the Chrestomanci novels by Diana Wynne Jones and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede. Both of these authors and books are outstanding and musts for Tamora Pierce lovers! Again Tamora Pierce and the Alanna books are some of the best things I've come across!

Review: This has got to be the best book I have ever read. I picked up this book when I was five and I didn't read it until I was ten and now I am eagerly awaiting any of her new books whether it be with Alanna, Daine,Sandry,Briar,Trish,Daja,Kell or anyone else I left out. These charecters are so real to me now that I have known them for so long and so many times( I have read each book she has written at least twice! ). I'm sorry I sound so excessive but I really love this book and any other book written by Tamora Pierce. Thank you so much for writing them...
