Rating: Summary: Fabulous! An adventure you'll never forget! Review: It's been a few years since I've read the Lioness Quartet, but at the very mention of the series I found the memories again. I can't say enough about this series. The main character Alanna is a strong willed woman, never the damsel in distress, but more likely a distressed damsel at times. She is definitely someone to look up to, and I've wished to switch places with her on more than one occasion. Once you pick up the first book, you won't be able to put it down, I promise. You'll fly through all the books so fast it will seem a shame to end so soon, but you will be left with an adventure you won't forget.
Rating: Summary: What a Book! Review: As soon as I started this book I couldn't put it down. I loved it so much I finished it in a day. Alanna is a wonderfully portrayed character, who you can't help but fall in love with. Soon you will feel as though you're there with Alanna through all her struggles. As she disguises herself as a boy so that she can be a knight. Not only will you fall in love with Alanna, but also with George, Jonathan, and the rest of Alanna's friends. As soon as you finish the book you'll be dying to get your hands on the other three! One of the best books I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST SERIES I'VE EVER READ! Review: This is defanetly the BEST series i've ever read (I've read alot!). I have all the books in the Song Of The Lioness Quartet, The Immortals Quartet, and the first book in the Protector Of The Small (I plan on getting the rest of them too!) My favorite types of books are romance, fantasy, and horses. Pierce takes alittle bit of each and combines them to make great books. I wouldn't recomend this book for men, the reason being, most of Pierce's books are about women, and what they go through. Although I have read most of her books, each time, she surprises me. She always uses a different technequie for her books, so you never know what to expect. Pierce is a great author, for any age.
Rating: Summary: Tamora Pierce has mastered the art! Review: I'm a huge fan of Tamora Pierce's works. I've read almost everything she's written, and this series is by far the greatest! Alanna is a wonderful heroine and the story has a wonderful plotline. This isn't my favorite book in the series, but it still is a fabulous work. I would reccomend this to people who like adventure, magic, and mystery.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This is the book that introduced me to fantasy, now my favoritesubject. From the first page of this book, I was interested. Alana never wanted to learn how to be a magician. She wanted to fight and become a knight. When her and her twin brother switch places, she learns all that she wants. This is difficult, though, and trying to keep her gender a secret is even harder. The fist-fights she gets into and the obstacles she overcomes, shows her determination and good will ...the book ends excellently! Read the rest of the series also!
Rating: Summary: Positively Phenomenal! Review: This book is so cool. Alanna's adventures are really cool too. I would recommend this whole series to anyone!
Rating: Summary: A Good read Review: This book was good and I enjoyed it. I also thought it was nice to see someone wrighting about how girls are just as good as boys.
Rating: Summary: this series is the best i've ever read Review: The series of Alanna is absolutely fantastic. They're funny, action-packed, scary, romantic, everthing you can think of. They're about a young girl pretending to be a boy in order to become a knight. The first two books let you experience Alanna growing from a kid to an adult inside the castle of Tortall. Alanna becomes well known for her amazing feats and abilities. She becomes a good friend of the prince, but also an arch enemy of his relative/famous sorceror Duke Roger. These books are very satisfying to read. I could hardly put them down. To pass up these books would be a mistake. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about these books.
