This is only the beginning of how Alanna transforms from a girl with a dream into a real courageous young women.

Rating: Summary: Introducing the Amazing Alanna..Two thumps way, way up!! Review: This book was instantly put into my list of favorites! The story line is written very well, and seems to draw you into the book before you finish the first chapter! I love Alanna's hot-tempered nature, and her raw detirmanation to become a knight no matter what anybody thinks. Her come back at the swords master in her second mock duel is especaly one of my favoriite parts! This is a must read for any and all fantasty fans!
Rating: Summary: Pure Gold Or Should I Say Pure Alanna? Review: Talk about a book worth reading! After just on page I was hooked. Each character was vivid in my imagination and I felt each of Alanna's emotions. Alanna's story is a intriging one. Girl wants to become a knight. Girl disgiuses herself as a boy and makes friends. The plot was exciting and on the move. It also made you realize how much work her life was. Becoming a knight isn't all glory. It's hardwork, killing, weariness, punishments, assignments some fun and then the glory. And no story can be without a charming arch enemy who could overtake anyone with his sorcery and suave- except Alanna. In this book starts the knight hood of Alanna and her friends. If you want a good read with fantasy, sorcery and an awsome plot this is your book!
Rating: Summary: The Best of the Best Review: I read all the time, it is about the most exciting things that a person can do! I first saw this book at a book store and decided to buy it, it was even signed Tamora Pierce. Little did I know what a wonderful book I was about to read. I fell in love with Alanna instantly. A red head girl who disguses herself as a guy to pursuit her dream, to be a knight. She also possess a magical power called a gift. She over comes obstacles and hardships, and with a lot of hard work her dream becomes true. It is full of laughter and excititment, and you never know what is going to happen next, you can't wait to turn the next page. After I read Alanna I read the rest of the series, and now I own all of Tamora Pierce's books! They are the best books in the world, and if you like fantasy, and a book where a girl does more than her world thinks a girl can, this is a book for you!
Rating: Summary: Young Lioness Review: My friend introduced Alanna's book series to me,"If you like fantasy you'll love this book," is what she told me. When I started to read about Alanna I couldn't put her down. After I finished reading The Lioness Quartet it was sad to finish because it was such a good book. Tamora Pierce is brilliant, I think all of The Lioness Quartet books are very well done and I'm looking forward to her other books. Alanna:The first Adventure is a wonderful book, while reading it Alanna puts a spell on you so you won't be able to stop reading Tamora Pierce's books. In Alanna's first adventure she shares her hardships of hiding her secret and joys of her newfound friends. Alanna inspires me to be unique and to dream. I recommend this enchanting book to anyone who loves fantasy, This a book no one can miss!
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: At first I didn't want to read this book at all because the blurb(the writing on the back cover in case anyone doesn't know) made it sound completely boring. However, I read another series by Tamora Pierce and I loved that series to I decided to give this book a try. Anyway, I thought the book was really good. I finished it in a day and I stayed up to around 3:00AM reading the book because I just had to finish it! I recomend this book to everyone, especially anyone who has read Tamora Pierce's other books and liked them.
