Review: A girl named Alanna and her twin named Thom, decide to trade places so that Alanna can become a knight, and Thom, a sorcerer. During this trade Alanna finds that she has magical powers and also meets two lovers. I thought this was a great story for those who have a romantic mind. Actually for anyone at all!

Summary: Without a doubt, the best book in the world!!
Review: Tamora Pierce is an excelent author and she is wonderful at describing ALanna and making her soudn so perfect and brave. I love the relationships between all of the charactors. It is an original and very special book. I read this book along with the rest of the books in the series in sixth grade and I loved it so much that i bought the series about half a month ago. i love the books so much that i finished the first book in four days and the second one in three days. I started the third book today and i am on page 60. THese books are so amazing I cant stop thinking about what will happen next. I have a brother and a sister both of which dont like to read so when my Mom goes to tell my brother and sister to start reading she has to make me stop reading. My whole family thinks that i'm crazy but they will never know how I feel unitl they actually read it and experience the magic for themselves.If i could rate this book on my own scale from 1-10 it would score a 20!!!! If you dont like to read and you only finish one book this entire year make it this one!

Review: how good this book is. I have read every book in this series and they are so good that I am about to order all four of the books in the song of the lioness series so that i can read the again!! Tamora Pierce is so talented and i love the way she makes Alanna look so brave and fearless. I read this book in like two weeks because i was so into it. I would definitely recommend this book to you.I would give this book , on a scale from 1 to 10, a 20!!!a definite winner!

Summary: Alanna The First Adveture
Review: I loved the Alanna books so much I couldn't stop reading all the Tortall books and funny thing is I'm still reading them and I've read them all at least 3 times already. One of the things liked the most was how really it all seemed when I was reading them. I also really enjoyed reading the parts of the book where Alanna's Friend Goerge Cooper the King of Theives was in it because he was really good friend even after Alanna told him the truth maybe even a better friend after that. I liked Alex(Alexander of Triggan)he reminded me a lot of some of friends what would happen if you combined the two. I can't say a whole lot for Prince Jonthan or Gareth the younger sure the where great Friends for her but I think over all George,Roaul and most of the court of the rouge where better friends in the long run

Review: I have to say that this series of books is the most amazing I've ever read. I love Alanna for her strength and courage to do what no other female of her time would do.
For a while I went off books - but while at my library I saw Alanna and In the Hand of the Goddess, and read the back and was like - I know I probably wont read this but I'll get it anyways. When I got home I started reading and I couldn't put it down! My family would ask me to help them with something and I'd say, "Wait, I have to find out what happens to Alanna!" I read the first two in 4 days, and during school no matter how much I tried I couldn't get my mind off of Alanna. I go to bed at 9:00 and I have to get my bus at 6:30, and every morning I wake up at 5:45 - I started waking up at 5:00 and sometimes 4:30 just to know what happens, then I wouldn't fall asleep until 10:00!!
Everyone thought I was crazy, and I almost killed my friend Mike with a pencil in Math when he read the cover and was said it was stupid. Oh well, people are like that. Now - I gotta get back to reading The Woman Who Rides Like a Man. Happy reading!! --Lionpaw M.

Summary: I enjoyed the book Alanna the first adventure
Review: The book of alanna is great. I really enjoyed it although it is mind boggeling from the start. you really need to read on to understand the story. Tamora Pierce must have had to think long and hard to come up with the caracters and background.
It was great to read and it gave me something to do when Iwas bored. the book has lots of action and adventure but with of passion. The actually reminds me of the tail Jaon of ark . Mabye Miss Pierce was thinnking the same. by William Baird

Summary: I thought the book was good.
Review: This book has its exciting moments and its boring ones.Alanna, the main character has a never ending determination and is persistant. I enjoyed reading this book as I like books with an old time setting. Alanna, a supposed boy turns out as a girl but only Jonathan and Coram know. I give this book a three star rating.
