Rating: Summary: Fantasy adventure that is mixed with magic. Review: This book and the series that it is part of ar the most captivating books that I have ever read!!!! I know that anyone who reads them will be so obsessed with them that they will not be able to put them down. Share them with your friends! I have a group of friends that is in love with this series. Tamora Pierce is the best writer. I hope that she reads this!!!
Rating: Summary: This is one of Tamora Pierce's best books Review: I just loved this book I don't know how many times that I read it. She does not just pick up where the last one (The Loines) left off but she still have the tast of that book. You still see what happened to Alana and Johnathen but you meet a whole new group of people too. This is a great book and should not be missed. Also read books 2,3,and 4. Also try the circel of magic books.
Rating: Summary: What a hit!! Review: Daine is wonderful. I thought it would be impossible to follow up all of Alanna's adventures with a heroine as endearing, but Tamora Pierce has managed to succeed. What a great idea--wild magic!! Magic based on communicating with animals! Why didn't I think of that? Daine is so loveable--she can totally take care of herself, she's down-to-earth, she doesn't hesitate to speak up, she's incredibly brave, very caring, and not in the least conceited. Like Alanna, she's willing to take incredible risks if it means helping her friends. She's so convincing as a character. And the book tantalizes you with the mystery of her past, and wow! When she finally explains it . . . wow. And then toss in a handful of immortals--from the repulsive Stormwings to sea monsters to one very pissed-off dragon--and all of Daine's Tortallan friends are depending on her, because she's the only one able to communicate with the immortals . . . trust me on this one. You will fall in love with Daine and with this book. It's especially cool to see Daine and Alanna having conversations!
Rating: Summary: I loved it! Review: I really enjoyed this book. You can't put the book down! I really enjoyed the Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce and it's neat to see the former major characters like Alanna of Tortall and Olau turn into a minor character. I also liked the heroine, Daine a lot!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Too Cool! Review: I love this book, and all the others in the series. Tamora Pierce is a great author. I hope to see many other books adjecent to these. Keep up the good work, Tamora!
Rating: Summary: Best book to read ever! Review: This book is one of the best books I have ever read! You can't put it down until you have finished it, and when you do, you want to know more about what happens to Daine. Don't even hesitate to read this book.
Rating: Summary: Like all of Ms.Pierce's books (both quartets) it was GREAT! Review: It's a new beginning for Daine, and a new thrill for all of Alanna's fans as she makes appearances in this new book, first of a new series also set in Tortall. For all who loved the story of a firey young woman determined to becaome a knight against all odds, comes Daine, a mysterious girl blessed with a strange power called Wild Magic. With new friends to guide her, she slowly makes her home in Tortall, and tells the story of her past and an unknown father. Filled with raids and fights and touching scenes, Pierce slowly helps us let go of Alanna, although she is still with us and Daine, and introduces a sparkling new character, and brand new gem in the crown of Tortall.
Rating: Summary: read it 6 TIMES! Review: I never read a better book!! My love of anamals led me to it, but it's more than anamals, it's about trust. Numair diane's teacher teaches her about WILD MAGIC. A must read!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: She's done it again!!! =D Review: I adore this series, just like I did the Song of the Lioness. I hope Tamora Pierce writes many more books about Tortall and its inhabitants. One thing, though: it is really interesting how different a character can seem depending on whether they are the main character or just a minor one. My view of Alanna changed from her series to this one. Anyhoo, I loved the story, and enjoyed seeing how all of the friends from the Lioness series ended up years later. --A must-read!!!
Rating: Summary: Another great series by Tamora Pierce Review: Here we go again!!! This series has Daine as the heroine with Alanna and Jonathon as background characters. Daine makes a friend in Numair, who is to tutor her in the art of wild magic. I can't wait to see how this series turns out!!
