Rating: Summary: A definite page turner Review: I think this book was one of the best in the series. I loved how the characters from Song of the Lioness played their roles again in the Immortals. It was almost like Tamora Pierce was saying "Don't think I forgot these guys!" Out of the entire Immortals series, this is my 2nd fave (first fave is the 4th book, The Realms of the Gods) This book is action-packed and doesn't have any slow-moving parts that make you want to skip ahead. You'll wanna read every word ten thousand times again!
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite books! Review: I went to the bookstore w/ my uncle to look for something to read, because I kind of ran out of stuff. So I remember reading the Song of the Lioness series a couple years ago, and how much I enjoyed them. And then I remembered that Ms. Pierce was my father's secretary for several years @ Chase Bank in NYC. I loved this book, and the fact that I have met the author (when I was little) just makes it more interesting. I reccomend this to anyone who loves fantasy.
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: This was the first book I read by Tamora Pierce; I got the first two books in the Immortals series as a birthday gift. I couldn't put it down! Daine's life is full of new suprises, new friends, and new adventures. A masterpiece on Tamora Pierce's part! I am currently reading her other two series. I could not let them pass me by after reading this one and the other three!
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: I love this book! Mum gave them to me to look at at lunch time, and so I brought them all and I stayed up late to finish them! I spent every spare minute reading thisone, then the next, the next, and I'm onto the fourth on day 3! I couldn't put it down. I've read her first two Circle of Magic books, and these are just as good if not better! Tamora Pierce is definitly my favourite author.
Rating: Summary: The best book I have ever read. Review: I have read a lot of fantasy but when I read Wild Magic, I fell instantly in love with it. I could'nt wait to read the other three books in the series. Tamora Peirce is a great writer and she writes the characters so you can actually relate to them. The characters almost become you and you feel their joy, pain, and sorrow. It is really a great book, I recommend it to anyone who appreciates a good read.
Rating: Summary: I love this book!!!!! Review: This book was so cool! Mom knows I like fanasty, so she bought this book from Amazon. I had never read anything by Pierce, before, and now she is my favorite author and I've read all her books. The book was action-packed, and stood out from all the books I've read. Daine was so real, I felt like she was my best friend. Daine, a girl with wild magic, travels to Tortall. There she meets Numair, who helps her control her magic. She learns control, and ends up helping in a big battle. And one more thing: read this book! You won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: Awesome!!!!!! Review: When my mom handed me the book, I thought, Is it really worthmy time? I started it to please her, and I ended up pleasing myselfbeyond all limits. To prove my last statement I immediatly went out and bought the rest of the series, including the Song of the Lioness series, and used up nearly all of birthday money. About the book. Well, you've got Daine, a teenage girl with a mare pony, Cloud for a family. She joins up with Onua, the royal horsemistress, and a very tall mage, Numair. In Tortall she finds work, and lots of adventures, from griffins to a kraken to a queen who 'runs around dressed like real people'. One of Tamara's best!
Rating: Summary: Magical Review: This book was the best I have ever read. The characters are great. I recomend this book to anyone that likes Magic. I could not put this book down.
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Book! Review: This book is full of imagination! Tamora Pierce has the knack for writing books!
Rating: Summary: The most enchanting series ever written. Review: After reading all four novels in this fantasy series i was inspired to take my own writing skills in a whole new direction. I enjoied these novels to such an extent that i have even began writing out each novel for myself (Unfortunately i have been unable to purchase these novels, so i borrowed each from the local library and have been coping there text 'word for word' just to read them again in the future. The description used in these novels was so incredible it made me feel as if i were there in the novel watching and sometimes even playing the part of Daine. Sometimes i would even wear my own claw necklace (fake of course-made of Agate and opal) whilst reading the novel. I am so grateful of having this opportunity to express my love for these novels and I hope someday when i become an animator i will have the pleasure of meeting Tamora Pierce and perhaps even working with her to bring this enchanting series to life on the 'big screen'!
