Summary: The Best Ever
Review: I read books all the time and I've read more than I can ever count but this book, this series, is totally unique. You are wisked into another time, another world where anything is possible. I thought Harry Potter was good but these books are so much deeper and everything is laid out so well that you have no choice but ot believe it.

Summary: The book of your dreams.....
Review: This book is truly wonderful. I have read Tamora's other work like the circle of magic books, but these books are something to marvle at. The story is about a young girl named Daine who has a real "knack" with animals. Well the knack gets her a job with a royal horse person to help her get to Tortall. Daine gets into alot of troble. This book is wonderful. So stop reading this and buy it. (P.S. get the circle of magic books to they are great!)

Summary: Love Fantasy? Then You'll Love This!
Review: This is an amazing book! If you love fantasy, you have got to read Tamora Pierce! This is the first book of her second quartet. The main chracter is Daine, a 13-year-old girl who has a knack with animals. She meets a woman called Onua and becomes her helper to lead a bunch of ponies to the wonderful country Tortall...and to find out the rest you'll just have to read it! Wild Magic is also extremely well-written! After reading it, I'm sure you'll read the rest of the quartet - plus all of Tamora Pierce's other equally enjoyable books!

Summary: Wild Magic - a brief summary, and some comments
Review: This story is about a 13-year old girl named Daine. Little does she know, she has 'wild magic'! Hers seems to give her the ability to speak with the animals of all kinds, and if she works hard enough to control it, she might even be able to heal animals. She gets a job as an assistant for the K'mir, Onua. They become close friends as they go on a journey to reach the Lioness's palace, to train the trainee's ('Duh). They join up with Numair, the mage, who helps Daine control her wild magic. To make sure I don't tell you the story, I'll only say a few more things. Somehow these monsters (the immortals) have gotten loose. Spidrens and Stormwings attack Daine and her friends. They find griffens and dragons. What's up with this? Well, I don't know yet. I gave this book five stars, because of three reasons mainly: 1) I love animals, and this book has a whole lot of animals in it. 2) I love anything that has magic, and this book has a whole lot of that. 3) I love mythical animals, and guess what? This book has a slew of those too (Including the freaky kraken)! If you like those things, this book will definately suit your pallet (Or whatever). You might want to look at other reviews, though.

Summary: Tamora Pierce Is One of the Best Fantasy Writers!
Review: This book was amazing! I have never read Tamora Pierce before, but you can bet I am now! Veralidaine(a.k.a. Daine) is a very interesting character, who lives in a world where magical abilities are common and an ancient barrier between mortals and immortals is about to break. Daine has magical powers, but they are a little out of the ordinary, because she has so little control over them. She is occasionaly visited by a badger in her dreams, who gives her advice. There are hints about something dark from her past that has her worried, but I'm not telling what it is. To find out(and start your Pierce collection), buy this book. It's a definite must read!

Summary: The Book of the Century
Review: Tamora Pierce has hit another home run, surprisingly with a character so unlike Alanna- yet that is why you like 13-year-old Daine, who has no home, no honor, and no family except her pony, Cloud. Running from humiliation and sadness that dwells in her hometown of Galla, Daine meets the Rider Horsemistress Onua, who agrees to take her on as an assistant after seeing how well she handles the ponies. Yet as Daine and Onua travel along the road to Corus, it becomes evident that Daine has more than "a knack" with animals. It might even be magic. Although Daine firmly puts her foot down about having the Gift or any type of magic, Master Numair- a tall man with a long nose and one of the most powerful mages in the world- confirms that Daine has wild magic, a type of magic considered to be an old wive's tale. Reaching the palace, she hears news that the Stormwings- hideous immortal birds of metal with human chests and heads- like the ones she and Onua shot at on the road, are spreading over the lands, accompanied by cenaurs, griffins, ogres, and other immortals. Only Daine can sense them, and as she travels with the Riders, studies with Numair, and comes to grips with her past, she draws nearer to a battle that will test her powers and will to save her new life. Packed with characters from the Alanna series, this fun, touching, exciting book is a definite new-found classic.

Summary: Good wholesome fantasy...
Review: Well, although you are supposed to start with the Alanna seris, I started with this one when I was twelve. I was hooked immediately as I could relate to the main character and her relationship with horses. The characters are all strong and have their own way to them, and the plots are excellent, but the reason I knocked off a star on this book was because of two things: --It can get really dippy/cheesy at points --length...as this is a YA book they can't be more that 250 pages, and although I know the author is annoyed she can't make them longer, I like to continue with a book that's long when I like it.

Recommended YA book. Great!

Summary: Wild Magic
Review: Out of all the Tamora Pierce books I've read (the Immortals series, the Song of the Lioness quartet, and the Circle of magic books), this was my favorite. In real life I would rate this book as a 100% success. I absoulutely loved it. I am always looking for magic, but now I honestly think I've found it in between the pages of Wild Magic. I wish that I could meet Tamora Pierce because she must be such a creative, magical person to be able to write books like these. Thanx Tamora!
