Summary: The Book ROCKS!
Review: This book is the best book I've ever read! I haven't read the Fire Bringer, but I hope it's as good as this book! When I finished The Sight, I was actually sad that there was no more to read. I really hope that David Clement-Davies has another book coming out soon!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Another amazing work by David Clement-Davies
Review: I remember the day I finsihed Fire Bringer I happened to see this in a Book Store. I was estatic. Fire Bringer was one of my favorite epics and this looked to be just as good. And it was! The Sight tells the story of a family of wolves. When Huttser and Palla have two wolf cubs, Larka and Fell, they are shocked when Palla's evil sister Morgra comes for a visit. Morgra is cruel and harsh and wants nothing more than to be a part of the cubs life but the pack denies it. In turn Morgra casts a horrible curse on the pack which touches everyones life in more ways than one. Larka, as she grows up, discovers that she has the Sight, a strange and mysterious power that is both a curse and a gift. Larka hates this, all she wants to be is a normal wolf, but she cannot have this at all. Becasue her new powers are developing quickly and everyone around her is suffering becasue of it. She runs away, seeing it as her only hope, but sooner or later the Legend that everyone fears so much and Larka's destiny must be fufilled.

The Sight is an amazing book. Just like Fire Bringer, the author manages to tell a wonderful animal fantasy story while weaving in history, mythology, and religion on the way. The wolf charecters seem more human than anything at times but they also keep their natural insticts, which I find impressive. If you're a fan of Fire Bringer or just animal fantasy read this book.

Summary: ~A MUST Read!~
Review: This is the best book I have ever read, and my love for wolves, made me like it even more. The Sight is a fabulously written book, full of action, love, sadness, and drama. The plot has to do with a family of wolves, "both loving and true" that have to fight together against evil. This book made me laugh, and cry; it reveals what is truly important in life. I greatly recommend this book, and I promise you, once you've read it, you will never forget it!

Summary: Insanely Good!
Review: I would not recommend it to younger readers because it is graphic and some parts are hard to understand. To anyone else it is the greatest book in the world!!!
The Sight is an exotic, tantalizing tale set in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania during the reign of Vlad the Impaler, and told through the eyes of wolves. In it, an evil she-wolf who was banished from her tribe for killing a cub curses the tribe she was banished from. The evil she-wolf is possessed with a power called the Sight. This allows her to see the past, future, and into others minds. Meanwhile, a cub from the pack that she cursed is blessed with the Sight and a tiny addition: the power to control minds. This the she-wolf covets. This is the tale of the pack that tries with all their hearts, souls, and minds to keep the blessed cub out of harm's way, and the evil she-wolf who will stop at nothing to gain the power that she thinks she needs; even if it means summoning all the wolves in the Carpathians, or the Wolf Devil himself, Wolfbane.
Mingled with dark legends, dark secrets, and dark truths,The Sight is a book that looks at questions that long ago had been labed answered from a different point of view, and a dumbstrikingly excellent novel for anyone, ages 12-100.

Review: I would not recommend this book to younger readers beacause it is graphic, and some parts may be hard to understand. For anyone else this is the greatest book in all of human-kind!!! This is an exoticly(?)tantalizing fast-paced book set in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. In it, a particularly unlucky pack of wolves is cursed by an evil she-wolf after she was banished from it because of killing a cub. This wolf, Morgra, is possessed by a power called the Sight. The Sight allows her to see the future, past, and present in another place. And into the minds of others. A wolf in the pack also possesses the Sight, but with one little addition: the power to control minds. This Morgra covets. This is the story of a wolf pack that does everything to protect the wolf with the Sight, and Morgra, Who will stop at nothing to get the power to control minds;even if it means summoning the Wolf Devil himself, Wolfbane. Mingled with Christianity, dark legends, and dark truths, The Sight is a dumbstrikingly excellent novel for anyone ages 13-100.

Summary: Great book for wolf-lovers
Review: This book is great!
The sight is a power to look through birds eyes and to look into the water and see past, present, and furture, even to heal the mind.I wouldn't call the book nice through the story because there is a lot of dying and killing in it but that's what makes the book good. Its a story about a wolf pack and the alpha female(Drappa) gives birth to cubs.(4 but 2 die)Her evil sister Morgra(who has the sight) knows one of her cubs have even a more powerful sight and needs to get to her(Larka the cub with the sight) but the loving family will do anything to pertect Larka. I would get this book if you are reading this review right now. I will tell you it did make me cry a few times (im sensitive though:'() Hope this was helpful to you! ...

Summary: A Dark, Rich, Intricate Epic for Any Age (12 and Up)
Review: The Story: Two wolf cubs are born into a family that has been cursed by the mother's sister, who has a history of cub-killing and was thus ejected from the family. The female cub, Larka, is a rare white wolf, and is blessed/cursed with The Sight, which allows her to glimpse the future, read others' thoughts, see through the eyes of other animals, and even control others. The white cub's exiled aunt, Morgra, gets control of a pack of powerful wolves, the Balkar, who are supposed to patrol the boundaries of the territory and protect all the wolves from bears and human encroachment. Instead, Morgra uses an old prophecy and various wolf-myths and legends to corrupt the Balkar and turns them on a crusade to control all the wolves. Meanwhile, another she-wolf, Slavka, is trying to unite all the wolves in defense against Morgra. Slavka also wants to wipe out all mention of or evidence of the prophecy and legends that Morgra has corrupted, as a way of weakening Morgra. That puts Larka, who is the prophesied Deliverer, as a target for both Morgra and Slavka. With the aid of her family and a few allies, she must fulfill the prophecy in a way that does not destroy them all.

Setting: The story takes place in Romania, hundreds of years ago, in the time of Vlad the Impaler (also known as Dracula). Human wars of territorial conquest rage around the wolves, with Turkish invasions and counterattacks by more native groups. Romania and the Carpathian Mountains are described in a way that makes the reader want to visit them.

Technical: David Clement-Davies wrote what I believed to be a masterful first novel in "Firebringer". I easily gave it five stars. The author's second novel is darker, richer, more gripping, and even more imaginative than his first. The pace is variable (sometimes furiously fast), the writing is flawless, the editing is near-flawless, the story is very intricate, and there is a depth found here that few books reach. All of the philosophical aspects that are touched upon lightly in the "Star Wars" films are dealt with here, but in much greater depth. Questions of fate, freedom of will, uses and abuses of power, stereotyping, the roles and relationships of predator and prey, and the roles of Man and Animal, are all addressed introspectively, comprehensively, and intelligently. There is also a clear message here: Man needs to be careful with the world around him and its other inhabitants, as Man would not appreciate where carelessness will lead. However, the message is not simplistic ("Don't kill animals or cut down trees!") but much more intricate and thoughtful ("Look at what you do, do it with thought for the future, and understand where it leads.").

Overall: "The Sight" is listed as a young adult novel. I noticed that another reviewer of this book was only twelve. I am forty-two. I sensed the same enthusiasm in my fellow reviewer's review as I feel toward this book. THAT SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT BROAD APPEAL. David Clement-Davies has followed up his masterpiece "Firebringer" with a BETTER novel yet. This is a novel for anyone, age twelve or up, who likes to think.

Summary: Incredible!
Review: This was an amazing book that I could not put down. It has a lot of action and is face- paced. The novel takes you through many emotions. The part of the book that stood out in my mind the most is how much you feel for the main character, Larka . You really get inside her and go through the book as if ou were there with her. The book is about a pack of wolves who are cursed by an evil wolf. One of the wovles discovers she has the sight, which is part of an ancient proficey(?). The novel shows how the proficey develops and how the wolves struggle. I would recommend this book for older children because it is a very harsh novel. ALso check out the author's other book, "Firebringer."

Summary: It'll blow you away!!
Review: The second I finished this book, all I could say was "Wow!" It TOTALLY had me hooked! There are ingenious characters, a marvelous plot, many legends, and even a curse! I reccomend this book for kids at a high school or above reading level, mostly because the book has lots and lots of confusing words and things like that. Otherwise, this book is a really good read!
