Rating: Summary: This book was beyond amazing! Review: I read this book in one day and it is 465 pages long. The plot, chrarcters, events, and the story were just...amazing. You grow so close to Larka and her family. I was espically fond of Palla and Kar. It broke my heart each time something happend to them. The writing is fast-paced and keeps you so enthralled you can't put it down. This book has everything from hints of Christianity, fairy tales, even the testing of the atomic bomb in New Mexico. The ending is so powerful and the conclusion is touching and bittersweat. I would encourage ANYONE to read this book! I have to say it is one of the best I have ever read. Thank you Mr. Clement-Davies!...
Rating: Summary: Breathtaking, Stirring, I love it. Review: I love this book. That's really all I can say, because words are not enough to describe the wonders in this book, or how much I love it. The Sight really did live up to Fire Bringer, perhaps going even farther. The depth of this book is brilliant, and the descriptions just paint the most vivid of pictures in your mind... The ending was a shock for me and I got so excited by it I'm surprised I didn't rip the pages out((not that I would EVER do that to a book)). And...gosh...I love this book so much! And David Clement-Davies...Write more books like these!! ^.^
Rating: Summary: Even Better Than Harry Potter!!! Review: Though this book does not have witches and wizards with three-headed dogs, it is one of the best books of its time. Very exciting with many surprising parts. With every page I turned, a new excitement filled me. I love the characters and the format of the book. Wonderful point of view for the wolves. The ending was the most shocking for me. I highly reccommend reading this book. That's why I think the next book I'll read will be "Fire Bringer," also by the same author. I hope it's just as good as "The Sight."
Rating: Summary: the sight was just as good as the firebringer Review: i like to read funny stuff and animal fantasy, but i would definetly pick this up over most funny books anytime. the sight is just as good as the firebringer. it occurs in transylvania some time after the firebringer. it is about a he and a she wolf fleeing with their pack to escape the dreadful morgana who posses the sight, which alows the wolf to see through the eyes of birds. she gives birth to a litter of four, two of which die. the 2 that live are larka, cuz of her white coat and fell after his father's father. They find out that larka has the sight also, so they set of to find out what will happen to her. morgana discovers them and wants to become part of the pack but they do not allow her, so she sets a curse on them that they will all die. Follow larka through an amazing journey that will test the family who will fulfill a legend of the man varg(wolf).
Rating: Summary: The sight Review: As soon as I had read the first chapter of The Sight,I knew that it was a masterpiece. What attracted me to the book was the story through the eyes of a wolf pack. This story though is not just about a pack of wolves but several wolf packs some of which are preparing for battle against each other. The wolves like humans in the sight have several religions and legends which they believe are a key part of their survival. When one of the legends begins to come true the wolves of Transylvania(the setting of the story)are thrown into fear and confusion, one she wolf sees this as a way to take control of the wolves and using her abilities of the sight which is a powerful essence that can greatly influence our world she manages to take control of several mighty all male wolf packs. She plans to use her power and her male packs not only to enslave the wolves but to bring to life the satan of the wolves to be the tool of her revenge for a great injustice done to her long ago.Unknown to her at that time another female wolf has been born with the sight, one who will lead her family into the unknown to stop the she wolf known as Morgra.Neither of them know that they are already inscribed in legend themselves.
Rating: Summary: Wolves were never like this...to the human eye.. Review: This was the best book about wolves that I've read since the Call of the Wild. It tells the story of a wolf pack in dangerous, dark times when a wolf called Morgra is using her powers of the Sight for evil. But is the Sight really such a bad thing? This is what Larka, a pup of the pack, has to figure out. This definatly isn't a bedtime story for the softned soul. So if the fourth Harry Potter book was too creepy for you, then this isn't your book. But if you don't mind the cold reality of death and you love wolves then this book is a great choice. Don't be surprised if you find that you're not welcome, however, into Larka's world..
Rating: Summary: Awesome Animal Fantasy! Review: I've been a big fantasy reader, and I have long been searching for something to satisfy me as much as my favorites, Watership Down and Tailchaser's Song. This definitely went beyond my expectations. I was so absorbed in this book, I finished it in a handful of days, and I was so happy with the ending! My only problem with it was that he lay a tad too heavy with wolf legends in the beginning, but after you get past it, the plot makes up for the wait. If you love fantasy, you will want to make sure to check this book out.
Rating: Summary: The Sight- Now one of my all-time favorites! Review: I read this book because I saw that it was by the same author as Fire Bringer, and loved it! This intelligent tale of a wolf pack struggling to overcome a fearful curse, is a tale of love, betrayal, hate, and plenty of irony. I won't say anything else about the story, because that would destroy the many surprises that this author has in store for you.
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: I finished this story yesterday. The entire novel was superb, I loved it. The Sight tells the harrowing tale of a white wolf named Larka, whose pack is cursed with the legend and the gift of the Sight. Larka must find her own way in the world now as her world collapses, and along the way meets many fascinating characters. Not only that, but she finds who she truly is and who she can be, that there is no greater power than love itself. Mr. Clement-Davies made this into a masterpiece and I hope he writes a sequel! An excellent, excellent story.
Rating: Summary: What a read! It's impossible to put down! Review: This is such a fabulous book. I loved reading about the adventures of Larka and her pack. Morgra is a villian like no other! This is a must read for any animal story lover. The prophecy really struck me too. This is as great a read as Firebringer. I loved this book because of its extremely delightful plot. I know that I will read it more than once.
