Summary: A very amusing book!
Review: I think Sharon Creech, the author, really brought out a typical American family. It was very funny. My favorite character was Carl Ray. The characters in the story just made you want to keep reading.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I love this book
Review: Great humorous writing, Creech! Why is balongna spelled that way? I had such a crack out of that...through out the whole book too! Greatly played out characters, more fresh and more up to their ages in my opinion. This is just like your average old American family, nothing weird or unusual like WALK TWO MOONS. Exactly why do I like this book? "Don't rightly know"

Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: I am 13 years old. I read this book in one day. The author cleverly mixed a combination of sadness, humor, and suspense together to form a must-read book for anyone!

Summary: "This Book is by far the best i have ever read."
Review: I am a 10 year old 5th grader at W.L. Radney Elem. school in Alexander City Alabama . All of my friends were telling me that it was my kind of book . And it was !!! I read it in 3 nights reading an avg. 100 pages a night anyone who likes to read , young or old will love this brilliant, creative, sad, and interesting book.

Summary: Stick with Walk Two Moons
Review: I thought that this book was boring, uninteresting, not suspensful, and very dreary, especailly compared to Walk Two Moons. Mary Lou Finney does not in any way connect to the reader, she is boring and too much of your 'average, all-american teenager.' my advice, stick with Walk Two Moons.

Summary: A terrific book on the summer of a thirteen-year-old girl.
Review: Mary Lou Finney and the rest of her crazy family makes for a delightful, fun literary experience. This book brings to life a wonderfully absurd yet believeable family that everyone can love. It's funny, entertaining, and terrific. I also enjoyed how it paralleled The Odyssey to Mary Lou's summer and also touched on some serious topics. I loved this book and heartily recommend it!

Summary: Normal?! Sure, isn't your life a little CRAZY too!
Review: Coming of age and following dreams are what we all need to make life more interesting. Ms. Creech sure knows how to write about this. The Odessy hasn't been the same since reading this book. Summer reading can be awesome if you open your mind. This book is a must!

Summary: An All-Out wanna read book!
Review: This is a great book for young teenagers to read because it faces problems that most female young teenagers face. I read it and I loved it because I keep a jounal myself and I love to see the kind of things that we both go through! Just read it! It's worth the time!

Summary: Diary of Mary Lou a 13 year-old Girl
Review: This was my first book I read by Sharon Creech, and it encouraged me to read more. Mary Lou is assigned to keep a journal over the summer and turn it in to her teacher the next year. This realistic diary tells exactly what it is like to be a teenager. Mary Lou is not too sure at first if she will like this assignment, but it turns out to be something fun to do over the summer. Mary Lou writes in her journal every day, and tells about a very interesting summer vacation. But at the end of the summer does she really want her teacher to read it?
